I haven't heard of him either, but judging from his resume, it looks like he has had a lot of success wherever he has been (albeit on the smaller school level). Also has a lot of experience as a defensive coordinator, and I'm wondering if adding him to the staff is in part a backstop in case Mason, at some point, gets hired away to a Head Coaching position. That doesn't seem to be likely this year, but another great Cardinal defense next season, coupled with Mason's growing reputation as a recruiter, and his name will certainly start getting on a lot of short lists for head coaching positions.
