He'll join Cam Fleming and Jordan Richards from Stanford, Julian Edelman (Redwood City) and Tom Brady (San Mateo)Â from the Peninsula for good measure!
Josh Garnett has started taking first team reps in practice with the Niners. Looks like he may be the starter sooner than I thought, maybe even against the Rams in Week 1.
But even before then, Josh Garnett may go head-to-head with Blake Martinez this Friday when the Packers take on the Niners on NFLN.

Julian Edelman is a brobdingnagian dbag. About 6 or 7 years ago, before he was somewhat famous, he cut a giant line for a bathroom in an SF bar by holding out his NFL players card and telling everyone as he passed that he was Julian Edelman. Fitting that he landed on team Dbag. I hope all the Stanford players get traded to other teams.

Bad day overall for Stanford players in the NFL: Hogan, Cajuste, Skov, Gaffney, Gardner all cut. Probably missing a couple.

Correction, Gaffney was waived w/injury so if he goes unclaimed, he can either go on injured reserve or get an injury settlement.

Did he have a new injury in the preseason, or did the Patriots determine his old injury is still a problem? I saw he played in the preseason.
