WSU-Stanford Game Thread - Langdude - 10-08-2016

Not sure how to feel about this game. My confidence has been shaken, and last year, with a better team, Stanford barely got by them...

As mentioned elsewhere, the black unis can't hurt!  8)

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-08-2016

Well, the honourary captain (Warriors owner) better than last week (Steve Balmer).  We start receiving; I believe it is now the 15th consecutive game.

Anybody have a link to ESPN in English? On their site, I only see a link to the Spanish version.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-08-2016

Holding on the KOR.  I guess we picked up where we left off last week.

Grrr

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-08-2016

Two quick passes to start, then nothing open on third and five.  A three anf out.

Ugh.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-08-2016

Yes!  Lloyd with the int.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - Mick - 10-08-2016

Lloyd didn't even have to budge to get that ball.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-08-2016

Ugh.  Another three and out and Ukropina hits the upright on the 50 harder.  I think we need something to jumpstart the offense.  But short passes aren't working.  6 plays, 5 were passes.  Two completions for 5 yards, two scrambles and one thrown away.

And yes, we had a rollout, though I think it was just burns getting out of pressure.

Burns has EXTREME happy feet.  He's bouncing around like a fawn in the pocket, and his feet were only set on the bubble screen to Irwin.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - cardcrimson - 10-08-2016

Partially blocked punt ends up inside the 20. Ugh.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - cardcrimson - 10-08-2016

Our offense is just awful.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - TRD - 10-08-2016

I'm going for a walk.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - North Woods - 10-08-2016

So far our best play easily could have been stopped for a loss. McCaffrey made something out of nothing.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-08-2016

Looks like the OL continues to have problems.  Our only big play was McCaffrrey cutting back.  Out of 16 plays, at least 10 have been out of the shotgun.  They largely have been ineffective.

Lots of short passing, but we are not getting much out of it.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-08-2016

Chryst is in.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-08-2016

McCaffrey stuffed on third and one.

Ugh.

Edit... Nice spot.  First down by the nose.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-08-2016

I have to believe that all the shotgun is a result of not having Marx in and an attempt to give the QB a better view of where the pass protection breakdown is going to be.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-08-2016

Ukropina good from 43.  Chryst will not be our saviour.
