With the big buyout, I didn't expect this. It wonder if they already have a candidate selected, or if they are going into the void to find one. With their track record, the latter approach is fraught with peril. They could literally go from bad to worse.

The speculation is that UCLA fired him now rather than next week because they're worried Chip Kelly could go to Florida. It would be interesting to have him back in the conference if it shakes out that way.

Of course firing Mora now does not stop Kelly from going to Florida.
