I want to learn more about how our members access the CardBoard.

Computer 99.9% of the time, phone when waiting to use the bathroom at halftime of a home game.

I didn’t answer the poll, but for me it is iPad 90% of the time and laptop 9% and phone maybe 1%. I really hate the phone experience, but the other two work nicely.

Computer 95%, phone 5%. I leave it on my browser as first non-work page that stays open.
Cheers,

Prefer my laptop, but it’s not always around. So both.

I have been phone only for a while now. The most annoying part of the UI for phones is how small the little arrow to get to newest unread post is, so I often just click 'Last Post' instead. Overall though it displays and functions well on the phone.

I prefer typing out long form-ish thoughts by keyboard (the necessary research is more easily done on a computer!). And as dabigV said, some of the elements are too small to conveniently tap on a phone screen.

I’m fine with reading on an iPhone ( I do have the same issue as dabigv but I usually zoom the text to make the arrow bigger)
For short messages, I compose on the iPhone but the computer is much easier. Sometimes I am wise enough to delete a draft rather than switch to my laptop. I take that extra few seconds to ask myself whether posting something is really useful.
Some of the images are such that my phone only shows the left half. If it matters, I move to my laptop.
I must admit that I check the Cardboard early and often during the day.

Same here.

My experience is exactly the same. Ditto

MacBook, iPad, and iMac, with MacBook accounting for over 90%.

mostly on a computer, (95%+) occasionally I'll read it on either my phone or tablet

By whatever device I happen to have in front of me (mostly computer, then phone, then iPAD).
Agree with the others that the big negative of the phone is the inability to really click on the unread post icon (aside from the usual limitations of typing on a phone).

Yes, this is an issue. I have mitigated it in my posts using the optional width and height properties. If I recall correctly, this requires keeping the width under 400 and making the height whatever it needs to be to preserve the aspect ratio of the original image. Usually, this means 400 x 300 (but it's been a while, so don't quote me). I preview the post to make sure that I haven't distorted the image.
But this is way more trouble than people should take. It would be great if the site automatically adjusted image dimensions to be mobile-friendly.
I CAN'T BELIEVE, with all that we pay for this site, that it doesn't.... uh, oh yeah. Big thanks to the volunteer admins for maintaining an overall good experience here!

Wait, where is this "unread post" icon? I see the Last Post text but nothing about unread posts. What have I been missing for the last 20 years?

On my laptop any thread with the last post unread the title is in bold font. With the last post read the title is in regular font. It works fine for me. I thought everyone would have the same format. I guess not.

The green arrow to the left of the topic takes you to the next unread post.

90% to 95% on iPad. Remainder on desktop. Never on phone.
