Stanford - USC Thread - dabigv13 - 11-16-2013

Ugly start.....given our road woes so far this season, this isn't the way we want to start.

Re: Stanford - Under Stanford Control Thread - dabigv13 - 11-16-2013

Montgomery has a lot of talent.....not a lot of of it is in his hands though.

Re: Stanford - Under Stanford Control Thread - Langdude - 11-16-2013

Give Montgomery some credit. That pass hit him in a bad spot - his hands.

Re: Stanford - Under Stanford Control Thread - dabigv13 - 11-16-2013

Ugh...zone coverage not pretty there.

Re: Stanford - Under Stanford Control Thread - estephan500 - 11-16-2013

Touchdown SC.  They can pass against us, perhaps not run as much.  And a missed extra point, that's nice

Re: Stanford - Under Stanford Control Thread - dabigv13 - 11-16-2013

Good playcall. Great individual talent by their WRs on that drive.

Need to start getting Hogan out of the pocket and running. We're better than these guys, but let's quash their belief they can beat us before we get to the 4th quarter.

Catch the ball for gosh sakes

Re: Stanford - Under Stanford Control Thread - dabigv13 - 11-16-2013

Thank god for Trojan.

Re: Stanford - Under Stanford Control Thread - estephan500 - 11-16-2013

As Trojan demonstrates! That is how to catch ... Needed example.

Re: Stanford - Under Stanford Control Thread - dabigv13 - 11-16-2013

Damn Gaffney is a boss.

Re: Stanford - Under Stanford Control Thread - estephan500 - 11-16-2013

That run ... That play... Was medicine to our soul

Re: Stanford - Under Stanford Control Thread - Rando - 11-16-2013

This is freakin awesome. I love watching us kick some Trojan ass. I'm real confident in this one. Let's shut em down again.

Re: Stanford - Under Stanford Control Thread - washingtonismoney - 11-16-2013

Opportunities are there on offense. Just have to take them.

Defensively, it's a get-off-the-field-on-third-down deal.

Re: Stanford - Under Stanford Control Thread - 82 Card - 11-16-2013

Gaffney just doesn't quit. Keeping going till the whistle blows pays off.

I would add an emphasis on covering those wide receivers.

Re: Stanford - Under Stanford Control Thread - dabigv13 - 11-16-2013

They're crushing our zone right now...we have players doing nothing on the opposite side of the field as their receivers flood the holes. Hard to play these guys man to man but I think we should.

Re: Stanford - Under Stanford Control Thread - stupac2 - 11-16-2013

We need to start hitting Kessler, if he's comfortable and can do this all night then it's going to be a long night.

Kessler's getting rid of the ball too quickly. This is more related to the secondary -- and specifically Lyons, who's getting picked on extensively.

We've gotten pressure a few times and he's managed to dodge it.

Re: Stanford - Under Stanford Control Thread - Gauss - 11-16-2013

Ugh, the D is worrisome. These facemask calls seem to come just out of lack of focus.
Their offensive line is much better than Oregon's, and the QB is playing very well.

We really need to tighten assignments, and probably be less aggressive. At least the offense has been effective so far. Go Cardinal!
