Oregon game thread - pcgoode - 11-01-2014

Something to keep an eye on. It looks like the Ducks dline may be more banged up than we originally thought. Not having Armstead would be big news. Not sure what Lowe working with first team means.  Per Rob Moseley's tweet:

@DuckFootball: When the Ducks went 11-on-11 in warmups, Sam Kamp was in on D line rather than Armstead, and Keanon Lowe was with the No. 1 offense.

Not a good start - BostonCard - 11-01-2014

Ducks score on their first possession.  We made them work for it (14 plays), but they were 2/3 on third down and 1/1 on fourth down.

Shaw has absolutely fallen in love with that stick-draw play.

Re: Oregon game thread - washingtonismoney - 11-01-2014

Shuler got put on roller stakes on that 2nd-and-8 play; we really need the line to be playing better than this.

Some points - BostonCard - 11-01-2014

Nice to see Williamson nail the 47 yard FG, but we need touchdowns not field goals.

Wildcat - BostonCard - 11-01-2014

Worth noting that the wildcat gained about 15 yards on second and 9.

Well, a successful wildcat and 47 FG in our first drive.

Exactly what the Cardboard expected  ;)

I hope j will has his mojo back.

Re: Oregon game thread - washingtonismoney - 11-01-2014

Defensive line isn't getting great push on passing plays; seem mostly good on running plays.

Re: Oregon game thread - washingtonismoney - 11-01-2014

Mariota has been navigating the pocket like a pro.

Re: Oregon game thread - Cardinal96 - 11-01-2014

Our defense is getting gashed.  This is looking like a blowout.

Re: Oregon game thread - BostonCard - 11-01-2014

Oregon: two drives, two touchdowns.  It's gonna be a long night.

Well, we could always turn it around... But Mariota sure has looked completely unstoppable. We need more pressure.

Re: Oregon game thread - washingtonismoney - 11-01-2014

I sometimes cannot believe what Hogan is looking at. Stuffed box. Stanford's been ineffective running the ball. He can't switch out of that play there?

Re: Oregon game thread - TrumpCard - 11-01-2014

Hulk was right about oregon's defense

Re: Oregon game thread - BostonCard - 11-01-2014

Well, Williamson seems to have his mojo back... Two 40+ field goals have been money.

The problem is our defense hasn't been able to slow down the Ducks, and we are falling behind.  We'll need some stops and some touchdowns if we want to win.

Time to find out if we packed a defense!?!

Re: Oregon game thread - washingtonismoney - 11-01-2014

How many times are we going to break the pocket and not bring down Mariota?

Apparently quite a few. If we keep tackling like this it's going to be a looooong night.
