I'd give Shaw $50 to actually pass out of that formation.

Guess we didn't really need the 2 or 3 yards that time.

LOL, I'd ask my wife but she's too focused  on us running a corner blitz :-)

Play action, toss it to the Ogre out in the flat.

What's story on our CBs....Meeks injured?

Both Meeks and Holder are injured.  Meeks (I think) suffered a shoulder injury.  I think Holder had a concussion.  Or vice versa.  We are now playing Alexander and Murphy on the corners.

This is so tense, I 'm thinking about switching over to the 59ers game...not really.

Re: Stanford at UCLA Game Thread - needle - 09-24-2016

Start of the fourth. I am not confident. I'm hoping Rosen makes a brobdingnagian mistake (abetted by an increasingly fearsome Stanford rush). Shaw playing for field goals/position on O

Re: Stanford at UCLA Game Thread - rudruff - 09-24-2016

Owusu in street clothes after that non-targeting call.

Re: Stanford at UCLA Game Thread - Rando - 09-24-2016

Allowing the clock the bleed while we don't have the lead...

I don't like it. I personally would like to see more aggression/urgency in our offensive approach. It seems like Shaw likes it when we have really close games.

Re: Stanford at UCLA Game Thread - BostonCard - 09-24-2016

McCaffrey on third and three on the wildcat.  I thought it was a mistake.... but he got it.

We are starting to get a bit more of a push.

I love the toughness Love runs with.

Re: Stanford at UCLA Game Thread - TRD - 09-24-2016

Stanford is definitely winning the line of scrimmage now on offense.

Hopefully UKLA gases here.

Re: Stanford at UCLA Game Thread - BostonCard - 09-24-2016

Yuck.  Five yard penalty on second and short.  And Marx is down now.

Re: Stanford at UCLA Game Thread - CrazedZooChimp - 09-24-2016

Time for Reagan to step up, I guess.

There have been quite a few un-Stanford-like penalties tonight.

This is brutal, four key contributors down? Even if we were winning I'd be angry about this game...

Re: Stanford at UCLA Game Thread - Rando - 09-24-2016

Burns is a tough MOFO and belongs in the UFC.

McCaffrey himself is tough as nails.

The Owusu hit reminded me of his brother. Very brutal. I'm glad he seems to have recovered well.

I like what I'm seeing out of the offense right now. This drive is so important. We really could use a TD. I want to see some killer instinct.
