Obvious, but announcers call it great d.

Re: WSU Game Thread - BostonCard - 11-04-2017

Nice pass by Costello to Irwin.  Costello has a strong arm... needs a bit more touch.  Also, he has a problem with 3/4 arming it.  But nice throw.

GREAT catch by Trent Irwin for 1D.  Money!  To the 37

Re: WSU Game Thread - BostonCard - 11-04-2017

Could be four down territory.

Best wishes to Jacketree Jr.  29 Palms, home of the Corps' combat center.  Did he end up in the Marines after the Academy?

Re: WSU Game Thread - dabigv13 - 11-04-2017

Would have liked to see more Love on this drive.

Way too many third and longs.

Totally agree -- like on that last series.  They are JUMPING all over Love on the give.

Re: WSU Game Thread - jacketree - 11-04-2017

Stanford needs to run offense with more alacrity. Think the clock rundowns affect the overall performance and not in a good way.

Re: WSU Game Thread - dabigv13 - 11-04-2017

Bailey is putting together a highlight package in this game.

Re: WSU Game Thread - washingtonismoney - 11-04-2017

The whole offense is in "almost" mode -- just missing blocks, Costello not quite 100% accurate, etc. Think Costello needs to keep it on read-options and, I dunno, settle down or whatever when throwing.

Should've gone for it here.

Re: WSU Game Thread - BostonCard - 11-04-2017

Our defense is getting no push.  Falk had. A year back there.

Coach Shaw looks cold.

Re: WSU Game Thr - BostonCard - 11-04-2017

Darned... would have been nice to force them to punt here.

Yes he’s a Platoon Commander in the Fourth Battalion, USMC.  Deploys to the Far East in March.

Re: WSU Game Thread - SamAtoms1980 - 11-04-2017

If the field is covered with snow, the second half should be fun.

Re: WSU Game Thread - dabigv13 - 11-04-2017

Eh, a punt can get dropped in this snow too.

I think we have to just play some power football in the second half.

Re: WSU Game Thread - washingtonismoney - 11-04-2017

In some ways a frustrating first half, but down by seven is not a bad place to be. Hoping halftime provides some inspiration for coaches and players alike.

Re: WSU Game Thread - Hurlburt88 - 11-04-2017

Eager to get Alfieri back in 2nd half.  Also anxious about Little . . .

This game is going as I feared  >:(

Re: WSU Game Thread - BostonCard - 11-04-2017

Well, that was a stinky first half.  Aside from Love’s big run, we really had nothing on offense, and Falk is picking our secondary apart.  The good news was that we are only down one score.

I’d like to see more keepers on first down.

Have to get a block on their guys instead of letting them outquick and go around us.
