Do any of know if, and how, I might find plus-minus stats for last night's game?
Prechtel was a plus 27 for 15 minutes. An amazing number.

I hope so. For the entire season, the Stanford folks would send us to the great stats site. For this tournament, just the lousy NCAA site. Ended up using ESPN's which is pretty terrible.

As that nightmare of a first half proceeded I kept wondering how the heck we were going to come back. Without that knowledge of the win, I probably would have had a coronary by halftime.
I’ve been critical of Prechtel before but wow, what a clutch performance off the bench.
People always tout our depth but it sure seemed like our starters played a lot of minutes.
It’s back to the bad old days on the FT line. Who’s that old guy in the Bay Area we can hire to coach FT shooting in the off-season?
Nice to see Lexie getting props from the announcers.
I hope Brink is ok; South Carolina seems to run a lot of its offense through their bigs.
I think of depth slightly differently. It can be 9-10 players sharing the minutes which we have done before. BUT, it can also be that you have players coming off the bench who can be your leading scorer for the game. All four of our primary bench players (Jump, Lacie, Prechtel and Belibi) have the potential to have that impact. And two of them (Jump and Prechtel) have already done so in this tournament.
Contrast this with say Arizona. If Aari McDonald has a really poor shooting half, I don't think anyone is coming off the bench for Arizona and scoring 20 points. I think Aari just has to keep shooting and if she can't find her shot then Arizona has no chance to win.

Here's 9 points on defensive lapses in Q1, plus one TO.
Q1 8:53. Failed to switch or hedge when Anna got screened. 2 pts on a wide open shot.
Q1 6:04. Lopes back. She was only one in position to defend the ball carrier at the FT line. She didn't defend anyone. 2 uncontested FB pts.
Q1 4:25 Stands in the middle of the lane guarding no one as Anna's player gets free on a screen and shoots an uncontested 2 at the edge of the lane.
Q1 3:17 Turnover, trying for a thread-the-needle pass through 4 legs.
Q1 1:02 Her player gets an uncontested 3 because Haley didn't guard her. 3pts
MT, how do you think she did in 2H? Would you agree with RJ?

Haley may be learning the necessary tournament level intensity. I hope she remembers to keep that switch in the on position and make Tara quit having to say she's practically still a freshman.
On our very first possession Haley nearly had the ball stolen as her defender pressed her on the dribble around the half court line. That should have been a wake up call.

In case you were like me and somehow forgot to record last night's game so that you could watch it and glory in a win. . . ESPNU is re-broadcasting it this afternoon at 1:30 pm, also at 1 am. My original plan, of course, had been to re-watch and enjoy the whole game. But given how it went, I'm going to fast forward to the middle of the 3rd quarter!

The stats site has the game stats, but access is limited to media only. Perhaps the NCAA did that....

Walz especially just couldn't stop talking about Prechtel and how she changed the game when she came in.
Here's Ashten's segment of the press conference (which was missing from the earlier clip):
