He'll be an ILB in our system.

Really? He looks bigger than his 247 listed 6-3 210 to me in his video, kinda lanky, with a lot of room to grow, so assumed he might be projected at OLB given that is also how 247 projects him.

He is a three star on Scout and 247 Sports.

Offer. May signal that Amon-Ra is not likely.

We offered him ages ago as a DB. Not sure if we're currently recruiting him as a DB or WR.

Said to be "phenomenal," so he'll fit perfectly on a Shaw team.

Here's an article with multiple links on three 2018 prospects:
https://www.pacifictakes.com/stanford-cardinal/2017/8/17/16103438/stanford-cardinal-football-recruiting-taeveon-le-kyron-cumby-david-alston
TE TaeVeon Le holds four Ivy offers. Stanford is recruiting him as a preferred walk-on.
The link for RB Kyron Cumby is to a paywall site. Perhaps someone can add some information on him.
The link for DE David Alston is also to a paywall site but I found this article which discusses his prowess both on the field and in the classroom (3.9 GPA):

Geaux Cardinal!

What happened to WR Jalen Hall? I thought he was very high on Stanford?Â

Amon-Ra would obviously be incredible, but give me McKee, Holyfield, Booker, and Fox, and I'll be happy.

Good article on Stanford QB commit Jack West. He's on TV Saturday.

Dunno, but read Yvonne's post on rules for boosters to be sure. :-[

I have shot jobs for the NCAA in the past and a bigger band of schumcks doesn't exist outside of government and ESPN. Some of the booster rules make sense and some are so childish that it's goofy.

Anyone else see our QB commit Jack West on TV yesterday? He led his team to a 17-14 victory and completed a couple of key passes in their winning drive. Was something like 14-19 for 100 yards passing. Looked good at times but I guess I was expecting (or at least hoping for) a little more than I saw.

I saw a little of West playing. My conclusion is he is a bit raw, but has a lot of visible upside in terms of his physical size and you can see how he projects in Stanford's offense.

Yeah, he's big and rangy (6'4" 215). He's also smart (they quoted a 4.7 GPA). That's a pretty good start as far as Shaw is concerned. Somewhat erratic in his passing. Some QB's get over that; some don't. Hopefully he will be one that does.
