Re: Northwestern Game Thread - Stymie - 09-05-2015

The only silver lining for me today is that my ESPN connection was shaby and I missed 1/2 of the game.  What a pile of rubbish....

Re: Northwestern Game Thread - dabigv13 - 09-05-2015

McCaffery has been good. OL has been alright.

Everything else has been crap or worse.

Re: Northwestern Game Thread - washingtonismoney - 09-05-2015

OL alright? They've gotten nothing at all on running plays.

Re: Northwestern Game Thread - Leftcoast - 09-05-2015

NW field goal for a ten point lead with around 3:30 minutes to go.  is that the game?

Re: Northwestern Game Thread - BostonCard - 09-05-2015

3:38 to go.  That is the game.

Re: Northwestern Game Thread - stupac2 - 09-05-2015

I'm officially on the "no more traveling east of the rockies" bandwagon. Have we ever had one of these games go as it should? Maybe playing at Duke with Luck? There's a reason most teams are playing cupcakes week 1, and it's because you need the time. Toughest schedule in the nation is worthless because no one actually gives you credit for it, and if you lose, well you're just done.

Cannot believe this.

Re: Northwestern Game Thread - dabigv13 - 09-05-2015

McCaffery has had some holes. The RBS aren't usually getting hit behind LOS. OL played well enough for us to win. Shaw has not coached well enough for us to win and Hogan has been struggling.

Re: Northwestern Game Thread - thunder_chik - 09-05-2015

Not at all what I expected. :(

Re: Northwestern Game Thread - washingtonismoney - 09-05-2015

Inability to attempt to get the ball downfield. Disgraceful.

Strongly disagree. OL has been very poor. Take away McCaffrey's 26 yard scramble and he's under 4 ypc.

Re: Northwestern Game Thread - BostonCard - 09-05-2015

Well, fitting end.  Hogan throws it weakly into the end zone and it is picked off.

Re: Northwestern Game Thread - Tycho124 - 09-05-2015

Classy move at the end.  That INT could have been taken to the house.  Kudos to Northwestern.  Well deserved.

Re: Northwestern Game Thread - needle - 09-05-2015

Shuld have kicked the FG. LOL.

Re: Northwestern Game Thread - dabigv13 - 09-05-2015

Pretty selective stat-ing there.

In any case this has been a terrible wake up call for our offense. Just hideous.

Re: Northwestern Game Thread - Brainiac_Infinite - 09-05-2015

Not the start of the season that I was expecting or hoping for.  Nor the start of my labor day weekend.

Re: Northwestern Game Thread - JohnR34231 - 09-05-2015

Plenty of blame to go around in this game. Pretty pathetic performance.

Re: Northwestern Game Thread - Kathy - 09-05-2015

Gonna be a long, depressing season.

Re: Northwestern Game Thread - stanfordite - 09-05-2015

Looks my days of being a fan are numbered.

Re: Northwestern Game Thread - martyup - 09-05-2015

Embarrassment for Shaw.  Humbling for team.  We will lose recruits from this loss.  Very bad.  Very bad.  No love here.
