I have never heard Christian make a comment indicating what he might wish to do - have heard his Dad indicate that a player should consider going when they have a shot.

I can't remember where this was, but sometime this offseason I saw him make an offhanded comment about being at Stanford for four years. But who knows? We'll find out early in January.

CHanging direction of topic . . .

It seemed to me that we got to the line faster this game--at the 15 second mark on the play clock in the first quarter, and between 12 & 15 seconds thereafter.  I also think we had zero delays of game, and "only" one time-out to avoid a delay.  Any other observations on this?

I noticed that too.  I can't remember a single play when we went down to a few seconds on the play clock, whereas that's usually a very common occurrence.

There were several plays where the offense let the clock run down to *deep* single-digits, but they looked more in-control than previously -- as if it was by design rather than a symptom of panic.

Yeah, there were some deliberate clock-bleeding snaps in the fourth quarter.  But as mentioned before, they seemed controlled.  Good for the offense; that's a fundamental.

Also yes, I think Stanford touched that onside kick first.

I believe that was his birthday tweet. Obviously, nothing definitive.

I will cling to this tweet until all hope is definitively ripped away by McCaffrey himself!

Some one please rewatch the 2H of this game and remind me of the details of Webb cursing out his WR... :)  I'm surprised I haven't seen anything about it online!
