Yes it was.

On a stunt, no less.

Think we can have a 5-minute TD drive? That would be really nice.

Big sack saves a FG

That would be an atypical drive for us this game.  We have a bunch of three and outs, and a few big plays.

Is Burns just in for the pitch back to Love?

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - BostonCard - 09-16-2017

Good start.  Three plays, two minutes.

EDIT: I spoke too soon.  No sooner do they do that than Bright gets a false start.

I angered the woofing gods.  The entire line gets overwhelmed and sack Chryst.

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - washingtonismoney - 09-16-2017

It's incredible. You can see Chryst thinking back there.

And more offensive line shuffles. This is awful.

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - lex24 - 09-16-2017

Awful.  SDS will get the ball with about 6 left. Perfect for a sustained drive for 20-17

Am I that far behind?  I haven't seen us run our third down play.

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - martyup - 09-16-2017

Those 2 turnovers are really important at this point.

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - lex24 - 09-16-2017

Open. Horrible throw. He has killed them

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - Phogge - 09-16-2017

Then Chryst throws a Cordova. Bring in Waldvogel!

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - amartinsu13 - 09-16-2017

His TE makes a brobdingnagian target, and he skips it.

A worm burner for Chryst's sake.

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - BostonCard - 09-16-2017

Of course, you were right.  But we actually protected Chryst pretty well.  He just had a bad throw.

And the stench is affecting even Bailey; he kicks a 33 yard punt out of bounds.

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - stupac2 - 09-16-2017

How on earth do you put that into the dirt? Jesus.

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - washingtonismoney - 09-16-2017

Those little bounce-passes were a regular feature of Chryst's misses in 2016. Basically, at this point, Chryst:

1) can't evade the pass rush
2) can't/doesn't contribute on the run
3) is inaccurate
4) doesn't have a particularly strong arm
5) makes OK decisions

Which all goes back to the coaching, really.
