Patrick Rodgers is unable to close out the victory, as he is caught on the 72nd hole by 21 year old Akshay Bhatia. Rodgers loses on the 1st playoff hole, making bogey to Bhatia's par.

Unfortunately, Rodgers missed a 12 foot birdie putt on the 72nd hole of the Barracuda Championship that would have given him the tournament and he lost to Bhatia in the playoff, played on the 18th hole. Rodgers' drive came to rest in a divot hole, and his second shot fell short of the green. Rodgers has made starts in 246 tournaments, no wins yet.

Bhatia may be headed for big things. He's 21 and decided to turn pro after high school. Bhatia won $684k, Rodgers won $414k. He can console himself with the big check
