I seriously doubt anyone has ever put Harbaugh and articulate in the same sentence. Saban is not the most articulate guy, either. Nor is Belichick.
As for Deion, I don't care for the methodology of kicking out 70 kids already at Colorado and replacing them with a bunch of mercenaries. Maybe he's a genius and that's the future of college football, but it doesn't mean I have to like it or root for him.

Hey, we scored 46 points last night, with zero in the first half.

Frankly, if we were to win one more game this year I wanted it to be this game, and after the first half I was a little upset. Neon Deon is who he is and he isn't going to change because we don't like him. What I dislike about he, and the University of Colorado is his cleaning house basically and hiring a bunch of mercenaries from the portal. The University showed us then where they stand also. Crush them this year and every year. He and the University have basically declared education is a secondary reason for a football player to go to school there. Here today and gone tomorrow, neither Neon or the school cares as long as he wins.

I share much of your sentiment.
A counterpoint: in the broadcast they said out of state applications to Colorado were up like 40% or something. They at least get to claim being more selective.

hard for me to fault deion when he was so crucial to a 49ers super bowl victory season. and he was not abrasive (in any way that i can remember) with that 49ers team. terrell owens was the showboat of that era.
to me deion is more the football equivalent of lady gaga. he's flashy AND he is likely one of the top-10, modern-era, pro football players. defensive player of the year, won super bowls with 2 different teams. certain one of the top-3, 2-way players and top-3, 2-sport football players. played in the world series the same year he won the super bowl.
if you want to know more about deion's persona, i encourage you to read, if you can, the
athletic's story of deion's manager constance Schwartz-Morini, who runs his marketing. he comes across as collaborative and receptive - more humble than arrogant.

Maybe we ought to be careful before we label people we do not know and have never actually met. I would also recommend that we try to take into account the perspective of those we are judging...you are quick to label based on your standards of how someone should act but who says your "way" is the right way or the right way for Deion and his family? Judging everyone from your own view of life from your own lived experiences is fine...but then acknowledge that. If you had walked in Deion's shoes, maybe you would be acting just like him.

Educations has been secondary in DI football for decades at most of the Power 5 schools...it is just more out in the open. No reason why the coaches should be the only ones getting rich.

Well, I've never met the Kardashians either and I called them narcissists. Should I not have done that? I'm curious what is your opinion of Shedeur Sanders flashing his $70K Audemar Piguet watch while taunting opposing players and fans. Does he think that his expensive watch makes him better than others? It would appear so. I'm sorry that my calling them narcissists has so offended you. And "Deion" insists that everyone refer to him as "Coach Prime". Why would you call him Deion and disrespect his wishes?

Always liked my former firm's thought leadership. When I was there (more than a decade ago), they had 22 attorneys who did nothing but write, producing 60,000 pages of original content annually on employment law. And I agree wholeheartedly with this podcast. When Barack Obama first ran as a candidate I was at another firm, and I asked our CHRO -- a strong, vocal supporter of candidate Obama -- what she liked about him, and she replied that he was "so clean and articulate." Unbelievable. And this was from the individual who oversaw interpersonal relations at the firm? Yeesh...
Not that it matters, but I took two public speaking classes at SCU, and both were taught by Black professors who were exceptional public speakers. Both helped me immeasureably.

Hulk01, great to see you back.
I watched the game even though I had to be up early that same morning. Worth it! I need the details of what happened at halftime -- schematic changes? Inspirational speech? Players stepping up and taking ownership?
I specifically didn't like what Coach Prime did with the CU roster. That was distasteful for the flagship state university of a proud state not bereft of football talent. A state university program roster ought to reflect the population that supports it.
The media glitz/glamour and arrogance is part and parcel of today's recruiting atmosphere that caters to 18-year old young adults. It is what it is, and I cannot let my distaste for Coach Prime's attitude/actions affect my opinion about his effectiveness at doing what he does to get results. He is clearly getting results above those of last year's CU program.
He is a very modern coach, no more and no less. Certain public attitudes against him seem to be thinly veiled shots attacking the culture to which he is appealing and recruiting.
Stanford took CU's best shots, turned around at halftime, and started throwing haymakers right back. One team didn't fold.
(Okay, I felt really bad for Shedeur right when the 2OT INT happened--a QB hurry leading to a desperation/lofted pass. It killed their chance at a FG, allowing Stanford to win with just a FG. The CU team battled hard. But I felt infinitely happier for Gilman and the Stanford team for doing what needed to be done to win. The never-say-die attitude is so rare and precious. It'll carry you out of the depths of hell if you let it. A 29-pt deficit at an away game is pretty hellish...well done Stanford, well done indeed.)

I do agree that a game this historic and momentous is befitting of its own name, and to my surprise, coming up with a good one isn't so easy. The Stanford Football official account on X has suggested "the Comeback at Colorado." Other ideas possible?
The Furious Folsom Field Foray?

I'm able to separate his off-field antics from his competitive athletic drive. It's not a big deal. Of course I think the era of children becoming celebrity entertainer-athletes makes for poor role models. But as an athlete, I have definitely been in his shoes where an ill-advised desperate attempt to remain competitive suddenly and permanently takes a turn for the worse. He earned that INT, no question. But he'll be haunted by that decision for a while.
