I've never been able to find myself in one of those pictures, and there's been a few opportunities (the two previous Rose Bowls and at least one in Stanford stadium, maybe the 2012 Pac-12 CG?). I've always been able to find the spot I would've been in, and all the people who were around me, but for some reason I'm either obscured or not there. Maybe I'm just a vampire.

That's because it's too small to see detail. You also can hardly see the seashell I'm holding. Hold your device up to your ear and let me know what you hear.

You know those Voldemort voters didn't even bother to watch the Rose Bowl. They're still amping themselves up for the showdown of the century next Monday.
(I'm still not convinced Clemson isn't just an above-average team, and I still think Alabama can be had--too one-dimensional. Bah humbug.)

My dream National Championship Game has Henry fumbling twice [with one being a scoop and score] and Watson throwing two interceptions [one of which is a Pick Six], after which The Stanford Daily does an edition announcing that the Voldemort Committee has rescinded Henry's trophy and awarded it to CMac...

A beautiful dream. All defensive and special teams touchdowns in this game. Turnovers galore. Let it be an awesomely terrible thing to behold.Â

Well, I think the bowl games displayed the disparity pretty well. Playing equal teams, McCaffrey did what he did while Henry was racking up 75 yds running and one short reception.Â

Ah, but Henry had a so-so-game because the game plan did not revolve around him. Ask any Bama fan you'd like to, and that's what you'll hear. No one will admit that CMac just might be a better football player...

And those same Bama fans will tell you that CMac got all of his yards because Stanford HAD to give him the ball, as they had no other offensive weapons or options.

Also, Henry is better because he ran behind a terrible line, despite them winning the "best line in CFB" award.

And McCaffrey's numbers are inflated because he played against horrible defenses all year, unlike Henry who, you know, ran against NFL-caliber defenses all year and still put up an SEC record number of yards.

And then had Fournette break that record the same season. And he, well, he LOOKS more like a running back. And, well, he has a cool pony tail when he plays. And, well, they got to play crappy Iowa while we had to battle with Michigan State. And, well, the Pac12 is a white boy league (actually read this one.). And, well, if the Pac12 is all that how come you play your games at midnight? Afraid we'll see you? (Actually read that one, and heard it, sort of, from an ESPN commentator.). And, well, if Shaw and McCafferty were any good they'd be in the SEC; they ain't so they ain't. You want mo'? Let me wake up my uncle. He's got a million of them.

Would love to see the Daily pull a stunt a la The Play and distribute Bama school newspapers in Tuscaloosa proclaiming the rescinding of Henry's award for being the second-best player.

Okay, now we're getting out of control.
First of all, if they are Bama fans, of course they won't admit McCaffrey's better. I probably wouldn't respect them if they did.
Secondly, probably THE talking point coming out of the bowls last week was that the wrong guy got the Voldemort. I've repeatedly heard talking heads say this was a mistake. Many callers to talk shows (I have a long commute - listen to the college sports station on Sirius), even those from the SEC (not from Bama), say "Wow, I never saw that guy. He should have received the Voldemort."
It's all too late of course, but at this point there is no lack of respect.

Why? Homerism sucks. Newton deserved the Voldemort over Luck, I'm willing to admit that. Gerhart was better than Ingram, but both were worse than Suh. They should be able to say the same thing.
