He has the most wins of any coach. He also has coached in the most games. By a lot. He's ninth in winning percentage and dropping. . . . .

Hmmm.... But is he?? Most wins maybe, but his winning percentage is barely in the top third all-time. He's also coached way more seasons than anyone. Walk Harris would have had the most wins if they kept him around long enough -- would that make him the most successful? Shaw's winning percentage over the last 4 years would be one of the worst all-time (3rd worst without the covid half-season; 5th worst with it). I like the guy; would have loved to see him turn it around; root for Stanford every game until the bitter end; show up in rain or shine; will continue to show up and hope the coach and players do well no matter how bad it gets; but enough is enough. This too shall pass. This too must pass.
