Completely blown assignment by someone. That's why you don't give him that much time to find the open guy.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - BostonCard - 10-04-2014

The three rushers actually wasn't the problem; we actually flushed ggolson out of the pocket.  It was a blown coverage.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - dabigv13 - 10-04-2014

Yeah but if we had 5 rushers, he gets trapped in the pocket and sacked. How much time did he have. For a QB like Golson, just blitz the ***** out him. This isn't Peyton Manning.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - thunder_chik - 10-04-2014

If Williamson hadn't kicked the kickoff out of bounds to give ND possession on the 35, I'm pretty sure we'd still be winning 14-10.  Drat.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - dabigv13 - 10-04-2014

No, if the refs didn't miss an obvious incompletion, and miss it again on video review, we win this game. Williamson didn't lose us this game.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - stupac2 - 10-04-2014

God. Damn. It.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - BostonCard - 10-04-2014

I guess that's the argument for blitzing.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - dabigv13 - 10-04-2014

Oh, so that's an intentional grounding huh refs?

What a bunch of crooked fucks.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - needle - 10-04-2014

I am angry, sad and confused.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - JohnR34231 - 10-04-2014

Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Oh well.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - stanfordite - 10-04-2014

This game was fixed and there is nothing that can convince me it wasn't.  I hope we break up the rivalry with the Fighting Hunchbacks and never play them again.

Right. Since we dropped 8 on that 4th down we deserved to lose. That was inexcusable.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - washingtonismoney - 10-04-2014

Refs sucked but the origin here is more Williamson pratfalls and offensive incompetence. If this offense can't right itself soon Shaw needs to shuffle the offensive staff.

Do you think it's the bookmakers, or just NBC?

Re: Stanford ND game thread - TrumpCard - 10-04-2014

Bright side: none of the redshirt juniors lokks good enough to go pro.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - thunder_chik - 10-04-2014

dabigv, yes, bad officiating, but we should be used to that by now (even EXPECT it).  And bad officiating is part of the game.  Williamson hasn't been on his game all season, but he should have had an accurate kick OUT OF THE END ZONE.  That part of the game was under our control.  Officiating, not.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - stupac2 - 10-04-2014

Guys, I know we had some calls go against us, but we also played horribly on offense and didn't do enough on defense in the 4th quarter. We did not deserve to win that game.

Both, but somewhat more the bookmakers

Re: Stanford ND game thread - dabigv13 - 10-04-2014

God it sucks to lose a game like that, but hard to argue we deserved a win. Our offense was just completely inept for most of the game. The doubts about Bloomgren and Shaw (as a playcaller at least) continue to grow.

Oh, c'mon. Sour grapes comments are a little silly now. I would expect a little better from Stanford fans.
