I'm following the game through this thread and a less-than-great ESPN box score play-by-play...

You can try Yahoo's play by play: http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/stanford-cardinal-arizona-wildcats-201610290057/

Click Game Stream → Play by Play

Thanks, TP. Much better.

Why are we throwing so much?

Shaw being predictable. Protecting a lead, Shaw will run the ball to run down the clock. So defend the run.

Re: Stanford - Arizona game thread - HisKneeWasDown - 10-29-2016

Whoa. what was that shift on the punt?

You can imagine the idea there, they're expecting us to run for a bunch of reasons so may as well do some play action. But yeah, given where this team is it seems too cute by half, may as well just run the clock out.

Except we passed on first down.  Then ran twice.

That was an unbalanced line!

So if you load left, wouldn't you punt it left?

Maybe we have a fake punt play that we run if they don't adjust to the shift?

Oregon State was leading WSU in the fourth quarter (now down with just over 10 minutes to go). I'm pretty sure Zona is the worst team in the Pac.

That pass was directly to Edwards.

Maybe we are trying to give Chryst some experience throwing the ball against a defense that is not focusing on the pass.

I think we have seen two of the most boneheaded interceptions this season.

Man are they stacking the box!!

Re: Stanford - Arizona game thread - Langdude - 10-29-2016

Looks like CM's night is over? And training time for Chryst?

Re: Stanford - Arizona game thread - martyup - 10-29-2016

There is the fade.  Got the flag.

Re: Stanford - Arizona game thread - ThePassionOfTheChryst - 10-29-2016

I like Arizona's uniforms but the navy digits directly on scarlet is a bit irritating. A thin copper border around the digits would be a nice addition.

Re: Stanford - Arizona game thread - HisKneeWasDown - 10-29-2016

Crookshanks? Hermoine's cat?

Re: Stanford - Arizona game thread - BostonCard - 10-29-2016

Was that really a fade?  It seemed pretty flat.

Whoa... Shaw was actually heated there...
