This game is so frustrating. Utah looks like a MWC team, and we aren't separating. We are the better team, but not playing like it.

The penalty on the punt was because Stanford had two gunners on the right side and the outside guy covered the inside guy meaning he was not allowed to release until Bailey made contact.

Stanford should NEVER line up heavy (no WRs) with Love in the backfield.  EVERYONE knows he is getting it, and he is getting stuffed routinely (as any competent D will do).

Stop rotating QBs.

You had a TO at end of 1H.  Call plays like you can actually use one before trying the FG.

I would do regular hikes with an I formation or two back set formation - anything where "the play" is not 1 of 2 choices.  (And do you notice that when 1st and 10 run gets stuffed; Shaw seemingly always follows that up with a pass play?).

Did like using Love as a decoy (is was asked to block a lot in Q2).

This has "the feel" of every Shaw-Whittington game:  Stanford loses a close one where Cardinal fans can point to at least one patently head-scratching decisions by our head guy.  [Of course, you can probably say that about most close losses].

Great stop, and we almost blocked the punt.

Teejers, you realize that most of Love's big plays are when the defense crowds the line and he gets through... then there is no one there to stop him.  Utah just has a good defensive line; give them some credit.
