Yes and yes.
And you'll note there are no fifth-year seniors and haven't been for years. (Though sadly Oscar did try...)

I didn’t recall that OdS wanted to come back this year. What was the issue? Unable to get admitted to desired masters? Not enough space?

What people were saying was that he didn't get admitted to his desired Master's program.

Correct, and a damn shame.
3 more transfer targets, all 6'4"-6'5" guards:
- D'Maurian Williams, Gardner-Webb (soph)
- Jason Roche, The Citadel (frosh, from the Bay Area)
- Cam Spencer, Loyola (MD) (junior, grad transfer with 2 years of eligibility...this guy is a BALLER. WANT.)

That's really bad for the team next year. We're down to three guards on the roster now, I believe. And one of those is Moss who barely played last year.
Haase had better be doing everything humanly possible to get some of those transfers.
Maybe Muir should have considered player retention in his decision to retain Haase for next season...

Very clear there's gonna be a guard from the portal, and I can see a world where we take 2. Also FWIW, Ryan Agarwal is being considered a shooting guard.

Any insight into Taitz leaving? I thought he was in a position to get more minutes as our 3-pt shooting threat.

I don't have inside info, but recall he went out with a minor foot injury midseason and never came back despite ostensibly being healthy again.

Yes, that was indeed strange. I wondered if he just wasn't in adequate shape to play. Probably we will never know.

Under Haase, there have been several incidents where players got hurt and then never made it back into the lineup. Haase's playing time decisions remain inscrutable to me.
Anyway, fingers crossed on the transfers. It would be nice for that to become a regular thing. We need to keep up with all the other P-12 teams that reload with transfers every year now.

Per a season tix holder I just spoke to pretty sure Taitz didn’t suit up last 10 games or so. Almost certainly still hurt

Well there goes next season and any hope for a better outcome than the past couple. I was hoping he would come back for another year. 2023 there is a couple good recruits but until then I wont get my hopes up.

He has until June 1 to withdraw from the draft and return, unless he hires an agent. It's really a no-lose proposition for him. Conduct some private workouts, go to the combine, if teams show interest he stays in the draft and makes guaranteed millions, if he's told that he's not ready he returns to Stanford and attempts to boost his draft stock.
I'm not a Haase fan, but I don't see this as a repudiation of the program, but rather as a sensible low-downside/high-upside business decision. Entering the portal to play at another school is another matter, but this is a good chance to get NBA exposure and possibly achieve his dream.
