Steve Kerr said it Wednesday in reference to Wiseman. Kevon Looney also was injured most of his first two seasons with the Warriors. He just played a season of 104 games.
It's way too early to put any labels on James Wiseman other than TBD.

He’s a smart dude. Can coach if he likes and I suspect will become an HC within a few years. One of my favs. People forget what a terrific player he was.

There’s a reason it’s difficult to repeat. The Warriors were unable to resign Payton. Meanwhile, the Hawks added an All-Star and some team is going to overpay with future draft picks to get Durant and try to shoot the moon this year.

Warriors kept Looney, lost Payton, lost Porter, lost Bjelica (not a very big loss), signed Donte DeVincenzo to replace GP2. DD will be a good signing, reminiscent of both Porter and Livingston in that he had a horrific injury, but has come all the way back. Will fit into Warriors system like a glove as a backup shooting guard to Thompson. In this, he fits Porter's role.

Not a Playoff post, but nostalgic. I read today that Zack Lavine signed a max k of $215 mill with Chicago. It reminded me that Fred Washington's grandfather used to tell us on the Bootie that Lavine, who was in high school at the time, would be one of basketball's biggest stars.

The Donte Di Vincenzo signing is deft for the Ws, IMO.
He isn't the pure defender and quite the finishing athlete Gary Payton II is, but he is a + defender, a + athlete, and a more refined offensive player than GP2. DDV also is an NBA and NCAA champion, while only being 25 years old. The W's give him an opportunity to be in the rotation and build up his value as a 2023 Free Agent. So they get a reasonable replacement for GP2 that costs them $28M after tax this year rather than $56M for GP2 if they matched his Portland offer. Kind of a no-brainer. Quite extraordinary that such a replacement could be available for so little, and the W's could land him.
This route also saved them enough money to bring Looney back on a deal they could justify.

I totally agree. I think the Warriors also realized that GP2 was much more valuable to teams that needed to build a starting 5 than to the Warriors, where he was going to be a bench player for the foreseeable future. GP2 deserved to get paid, and he was going to go where he could do that. That wasn't the Warriors.

One Year Contract Option free agents for the 2022-23 Warriors, at or close to vet minimum:
How about Derrick Rose for a one-year contract? Injuries throughout his career and he had surgery for bone chips in his shooting elbow, teams will be hesitant to give him a multi year contract.
23 year old Marvin Bagley, a PITA for multiple teams and former #2 pick in the draft?
Dennis Schroeder, PG for Houston?
Carmelo Anthony, perimeter shooter par excellence for a shot at an NBA championship?
C Hassan Whiteside?
TJ Warren, hasn't played in a year, midrange specialist?
Markieff Morris, PF?
Taj Gibsom, C?
DeMarcus Cousins, C?
Isaiah Thomas, PG?
Rajan Rondo, PG?
Austin Rivers, defensive specialist like GP2?
Wayne Ellington, Lakers, elite 3 point specialist (41.4%)
Maybe bring back Eric Paschall or Kent Bazemore?
Blake Griffin, PF?
Tristan Thompson, C?
Lou Williams, one last one-and-done contract?
Avery Bradley, defensive specialist who can shoot the three?
Brandon Goodwin, athletic PG, drive and dish?
Kris Dunn, defensive minded PG?
Jaylen Hoard, SF and rebounding specialist?
Just for fun...Dwight Howard.
Matt Thomas, 3 pt shooter.

Agree that DD fits the Warriors needs better than GPII does. He’s more of a prototypical 3-and-D wing, which is the staple for the W offense. Payton is developing an outside shot, but he spent a lot of time in the “dunker” position for the W offense this year. I think they’ll need another solid rotation piece to have a shot in the west though. The Clippers have a great roster and the Wolves will be interesting to watch (though they mortgaged the future way too much IMHO).

I doubt it. First, Brooklyn would have to get rid of Simmons, who is on a rookie Max contract. NBA rules, you can only have one of those. Second, they (purportedly) want Wiggins, Wiseman and (likely) Moody
AND next year's first round pick AND the year following second round pick. WAAAYYYYY too big a haul for the 34 year old Durant.

I’d rather have Wiggins than Durant head up. I know hes not anywhere near the player Durant is. But I really don’t care. I’ve had enough of Durant act.

Yeah. And I'd even more rather have Wiggins plus all the young guys the W's would have to give up to trade for Durant.

LOVE Wiggins, but I'd be ok with that trade. Dubs would win 2 or 3 more.

Durant wore out his welcome when he thumbed his nose at his teammates and the organization three years ago.
Nothing’s changed since he opted out so where is the logic for coming back and expecting it to be better? He’ll never have the love SF gives Steph, Draymond is still there to get under his skin, and Kerr will still spread the ball to less talented options. It’s what they do and it works for them.
For his part, Durant traded Steph for Kyrie, Kerr for Nash, and Golden State’s front office for Brooklyn’s and is shocked it didn’t work out. Let Durant continue his itinerant ways and seek his basketball nirvana elsewhere.
I have nothing but thanks for the two banners from his three years here and wish him well at his next stop! Our team doesn’t need the drama he brings.

The Warriors got a bargain with DiVincenzo, and are paying him half what Payton got from the Blazers.
Looney might have been a bit overpaid, but I guess the Warriors didn't feel confident enough in Wiseman to let Looney walk.
The most interesting decision to me was letting Porter walk when he got the mini-mid-level exception.
Considering how much Porter contributed this year, that number seemed like it would have been quite doable for the Warriors.
I think this shows one (or both) of two things:
(1) The Warriors are confident of what they have in Kuminga. The summer league performances so far back that up. He's continuing his strong pre-playoff play, and maybe we have to ignore the lack of earned playoff minutes. Porter is a vet and plays strong defense, so he got the minutes, but maybe Kuminga is close enough that there was no need to pay Porter.
(2) The Warriors really do have plans to extend both Wiggins and Poole. That would be interesting. As noted, even after letting Porter and Payton walk, extending Wiggins and Poole will put the Warriors into unprecedented luxury tax range. Like $450 million for their 2023-2024 roster.

So what is y'all's take on Draymond Green punching Jordan Poole, and the implications thereof? How does the fact a video of it was released change your perception of the incident and the overall landscape of all things Warriors?
Marcus Thompson of TA says the video "changes everything" in this piece:
