Tuck Rule!!!!😀

Re: WSU Game Thread - washingtonismoney - 11-04-2017

This sounds a little weird, but a play like that -- Costello improvises and turns it into a successful play (whatever the ultimate ref call) -- is where I see a difference between he and Chryst. I think Chryst recovers that and just falls down.

Re: WSU Game Thread - CompSci87 - 11-04-2017

Calling that an incomplete pass would be insane.

Re: WSU Game Thread - French Rage - 11-04-2017

He's moving the ball into himself.  Clearly no pass.

Yeah, I think Costello has a bit more ability to improvise.  We will take it!

Someone said they saw Little back in.  I only see Hamilton.  Can anyone confirm?

Re: WSU Game Thread - washingtonismoney - 11-04-2017

Hope that play/drive gives Costello the confidence to PULL THE BALL ON THE READ OPTION.

Re: WSU Game Thread - Stymie - 11-04-2017

Now that play is going to make Mr. Leach, Esq. spit into his Earl Grey tea....

Also it had already been reviewed, right? Calling a challenge there is just petulance by Leach, which is even worse given how ludicrously favorable the reffing in this game has been toward them. But whatever, second-half TOs are important and they just wasted one.

Now we just need the defense to get a turnover or a stop and we're back in business!

Re: WSU Game Thread - JohnR34231 - 11-04-2017

Well, we're back in it. Now we need a stop.

Re: WSU Game Thread - BostonCard - 11-04-2017

Also, I don’t ever remember Chryst pump faking.  So maybe he doesn’t fumble it,  but he probably throws it into a covered receiver.

Hopefully that leads to rash bad decisions!

Win or lose, this game is fun to watch!

Re: WSU Game Thread - French Rage - 11-04-2017

OK, hit 'em hard D!  Hold 'em!

Re: WSU Game Thread - jacketree - 11-04-2017

Sorry. It was 74. Mixed up the numbers.

He was going to once on that play where Hamilton came in then jumped early. It's possible we're not really calling a read option, just trying to make them think we are. At any rate, we clearly should start running it, at least until WSU starts playing square instead of going straight to Love.

Re: WSU Game Thread - French Rage - 11-04-2017

I see a bobble.  Granted I'm biased.

Re: WSU Game Thread - BostonCard - 11-04-2017

Big review call.  It looks like a catch, but is there enough evidence to overturn?

Re: WSU Game Thread - washingtonismoney - 11-04-2017

couple of things:
1) Think Mark Helfrich has been a good commentator so far. I'm guessing he'll get himself a coaching job soon enough, whether as a coordinator or a head guy, should he want it, but he's had some valuable things to say.

2) There is no pass rush whatsoever.

Re: WSU Game Thread - stupac2 - 11-04-2017

I don't think you can overturn that, but I'm not certain.

And yeah, stands.
