Wow, that's a little weird. Good, but weird.

What is with the pink gloves some of our guys are wearing?
October is breast cancer awareness month. The NFL guys do it too, though it's been more subdued this year.

Oh. That's cool.

Except it's more style than substance.

Glad to get the win, but it's pretty clear Chrsyt is not the magic bullet this team was missing.
104 yards on 14 of 30 against this defense is bad. I think Burns should get the nod next week since he seems marginally better, but if Costello has any ability I wouldn't mind seeing him.

OK, Chryst's debut was (far) less than stellar. There were several misses (not sure they even qualify as "drops")--at least a couple by Rector and the rather amazing whiff by Irwin--that certainly would have helped Keller's stats, confidence, and the game. The of exceedingly large proportions one for me, though, is that his long throws were either close to on target or long. Top of my head, I can't recall Burns missing long for at least four games. I still have terrible visions in my head of those underthrown, intercepted balls. Chryst did not miss that way, avoiding those incredibly disheartening interceptions. Kudos to him for that.

My guess is as long as we keep winning with Chryst as QB, we will continue to see him.
Burns would probably still be in there if we hadn't lost 3 out of 4 with him at the helm.

I think it's a bit harsh for Burns to get punished for playing a far more difficult schedule. But I don't feel that bad considering how poorly he has played recently.

Burns needed to improve, but he didn't. It was the opposite. I want to see if Chryst can improve. If there's no evidence of Chryst improving, Shaw will have a tough decision.

Changing topics, I feel like Hoffpauir is covering better the last few games. Any confirmations or rebuttals out there?Â

He got picked on a ton against Colorado, mostly to solid effect. He's giving it his all out there, and he's a tough, valuable player, but still is who he is.

He's staying with his man pretty well, but he needs to turn his head and find the ball. This is probably too much to ask at this point in his development/career, but if he could do this he might get some INTs this season. He is fearless and full of hustle.Â
