Team played very hard, earned a tenth win. Congrats.

Shaw needs to completely re-think his red zone and short yardage philosophies. Maybe having a legit QB will enable this.
Can't blame Thomas for leaving for NFL, but with a QB and a better OL, this could be a REALLY good team in 2017.

The snail just won the Sun Bowl with his second string QB and second string running back.
That's now our fourth bowl win in Shaw's six season and three in a row.

by the way, everyone is talking sh*t about the 3rd & 5 run but:
1) if Bright makes his block it's a first down, or at least in-bounds.
2) the timeout didn't really matter much in the end.

Congratulations Cardinal!
Yeah why did it have to go the way it did.

Costello is looking like the early favorite to start next season.

btw also hard for me to get too fusty about winning a game in which the starting QB, rotation OLB, and star CB get injured in-game, to go with the missing star RB and injured starting RT, S, and CB.

I think the snail was just a bystander.

It sure would be nice if he stopped winning 10 games a season so we could fire him... ;D

Amazing we could win the game with virtually no offensive production (except for two plays) in the last three quarters.

Costly, tho' , in terms of injuries. Hope Meeks is okay.
Meeks was back on the field a few plays later. So hopefully he's just fine.

Really respect this team. Lot of adversity in this game, lot of reasons they should have lost. They should be really proud of themselves.

Stanford's total offense was 287 yards vs 398 for UNC. It was their 3 turnovers that made the difference. Lloyd's pick 6 was crucial.

It was a similar, actually lesser, risk than the pass someone was calling for. (Stopping the clock via incomplete pass a bit more likely than via Love getting knocked out of bounds when trying to stay in. First down a more likely outcome than with the predictable run up the middle.)

True, but you can't blame them for that last drive, almost all passes to the sideline and Perez came up big when called upon in the end zone.
Branch missed a sack early in the drive if I'm recalling correctly.

Yes, but hard to blame the TD on one early missed sack when the opponent goes 97 yards.

Did we hear MVP? I assume Solomon but Lloyd deserves consideration.

LaForce interviewing Thomas was preceded by Nessler saying "Allie's with the MVP." I don't know if that statement should be taken literally or if Nessler was just giving Solomon props.
