Did we hear MVP? I assume Solomon but Lloyd deserves consideration.
LaForce interviewing Thomas was preceded by Nessler saying "Allie's with the MVP." I don't know if that statement should be taken literally or if Nessler was just giving Solomon props.

The announcers were anointing Solly throughout the game. I would give it to him without a doubt. He kept us in the game.

After that ugly win, where do you think we will end up in the final rankings?

Totally agree, by far the most influential player in the game. Either was making big plays or getting so much attention that others made plays.

No argument with Solly but we would have lost without Lloyd. He really stepped up with those interceptions.

21 of those carries were for about 60 yards, or about a 3 yard average, which doesn't work so well.

Phone not working well. I tried to post earlier that I wouldn't have minded if Dallas Lloyd took a few snaps at QB. Would've been a heck of a send off! 8)

Given that it was a bit of a squeaker, I expect we'll stay right around where we were at the end of the regular season...

Sort of like Barry Sanders' entire career. Love is a home run hitter and a good one.
Problem is that Scarlett has been disappointing thus far, if he lives up to his billing he would be the perfect complement to Love.

West Virginia lost. The rest of the teams just ahead of us are still to play.

Nobody is saying Perez or others are not good kids. Nobody is criticizing their looks, their smarts, their race. I don't think anybody is saying that Shaw can't coach. There is disagreement over decisions and playing ability. If there wasn't any criticism this site would be the Magic Kingdom where everything is perfect and the mice wear black gloves.

It would be Pleasantville. ::)

Not to be melodramatic, but that could be it for his Stanford career.

Very possible. Also possible he's OK by fall camp.

I hope it's the latter, depends on the severity of the tear I'd imagine.

How's this for a stat: 12% of all wins (76/635) in the 125-year history of Stanford football have come since the beginning of 2010.

Has anyone ever returned to action from an ACL tear faster than Adrian Peterson's nine month recovery from the date of surgery?
Obviously we don't know the extent of the injury, but if it's a full tear, then participating in football activities in less than eight months would literally be unprecedented.

Tough injury.
On TV that looked like the injury. Would be nice if it is just a strain. I am confident that the true extent of the injury will become clear in time.
In the game Chryst seemed to be proving that the 5-0 run was more than just about playing that weak set of opponents. Have no doubt the game would have been won easily if he was on the field the whole game.
Burns either was not ready to be the next man up OR is just not really capable of running the Stanford system. Either way doesn't matter now. The spring session will become very important now, and any incoming QB should be mentally preparing to play in 2017 too as injuries happen.
