Yeah.  We broke 50 but it's still not over.  I saw that A&M game.

Re: UCLA GAME THREAD - needle - 09-23-2017

WHOOO!!!

Score one (one score!) for conservative playcalling!

UCLA ain't getting 50.

We scored too fast.

Someone is a Men in Blazers fan.

Nope, a long time Stanford fan.

Re: UCLA GAME THREAD - martyup - 09-23-2017

We are +2 in turnovers.  That helps.

Re: UCLA GAME THREAD - BostonCard - 09-23-2017

Okereke is having himself a nice game.

One tiny thing I love about UCLA. Year after year, Stanford kicks deep in their endzone on kickoffs. Year after year, UCLA heedlessly bounds out of the endzone. And year after year, UCLA's kick returner gets taken down short of the 25 yard line. It's this persistent, hilarious deficiency that never gets corrected.

To be fair he was mostly taking knees today, and I can't blame him for trying that one given the game situation.

Yeah, fair point. Still amusing to me. UCLA basically lost the 2012 Pac-12 Championship Game (in large part) because of this.

When you are down 17 in the fourth quarter the strategy makes sense.  You’ll take a bad return for the chance of breaking the big one.

But yeah, against good coverage teams like we have been, taking the knee most times makes sense.

And Edwards with the dagger.

2am on the East Coast. How many folks are watching this?

me, living in the east coast doesn't stop me watching every snap of Stanford football every single year.

Boston MA here. I considered going to sleep in the first quarter but opted to hang in. I really should go to bed, but don't want to miss the next big Love play.

The Stanford record is within reach. Why not let home get it?

Re: UCLA GAME THREAD - BostonCard - 09-23-2017

Ok I don’t think even Rosen will be able to bring them back.

So does that mean Rosen and Mora will have been 0-for their carreer against stanford?

Oh? I don't really remember that. I definitely have a better memory of the flow of games I didn't attend.

Re: UCLA GAME THREAD - norcard - 09-23-2017

I genuinely feel bad for Rosen

Well I was right to say I didn’t think we could keep Rosen and UCLA under 30.

Never been so happy to be wrong about the offense.
