I love to see the Toejams laying an egg.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - BostonCard - 10-08-2015

Through three quarters the game has featured 10 punts and four turnovers.  Washington is at the USC 8 yard line.  We need to take Washington's defense seriously.  And I think that also establishes Cal's offense.

Still, no tears for the whining sarks.  Few coaches have done less with more than Sark, except maybe the last USC coach.

I dunno - Redrum - 10-08-2015

I sort of liked the old discombobulated UDub better. Not looking like a gimme game to me.  I guess I hope they're just amped out of their skulls playing against the coach that bailed on them.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - BostonCard - 10-08-2015

The huskies are up 11.  Seems like they are doing well putting pressure on Kessler.  And the Trojans keep shooting themselves in the foot.

Kiff had a 10-win season (in which he finished #6 in the country). Cutty's ignominy is unmatched.

Kessler can barely drop back without getting pressured. Curiously, they've had solid success running the ball.

Hmmmm - Redrum - 10-08-2015

Does a UDub win devalue our win over USC?

Re: Week 6 in opponents - yvonne - 10-08-2015

for now

Re: Week 6 in opponents - washingtonismoney - 10-08-2015

Another three-and-out. Sark somehow refuses to understand how much more effective the run has been versus the pass.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - BostonCard - 10-08-2015

I'm happy to see USC lose.  I'm not too worried about what they do against other teams; as much as it will devalue our win over SC, it would enhance a win over UW, should we prevail.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - martyup - 10-08-2015

Sark is stupid to throw the ball.  Udub has not stopped the run all night.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - washingtonismoney - 10-08-2015

SC would be winning by two touchdowns if they bothered to run it an appropriate number of times.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - martyup - 10-08-2015

WA ran too much and SC ran too little.

Hard to blame WA for running so much -- it's not as if Browning was lighting it up. It's SC's decision-making that was truly bizarre.

I posted that right before he threw the last first down pass.  Their last several drives I thought they were too conservative and could have let the Toejams back into it.

Of course, if that's so obvious, then how come Miller (and everyone else at ESPN) picked the more poorly coached team to win?

Our Oline needs to be ready, but their O didn't show much.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - BostonCard - 10-08-2015

You can thank Wilner for the USC loss, he picked them (at -17) as his five-star special.
