Re: Week 11 in opponents - French Rage - 11-14-2015

TCU is doing everything they can to give Kansas a chance, and Kansas is doing everything they can to blow it.

TCU up 23-17 with 1:54 left, Kansas with the ball at their own 17.

Re: Week 11 in opponents - French Rage - 11-14-2015

...and Kansas goes 4 and out.  Game TCU.

Is there any team above us in CFP rankings that we do not want to lose? Asking cause I'm watching Bama vs MISS

Re: Week 11 in opponents - dabigv13 - 11-14-2015

3-6 Syracuse tied with Clemson at 14. Oklahoma State down 17 -7 to 3-6 Iowa State. Early yet, but interesting!

Also I will always root for Alabama to lose. A 2 loss Bama might beat some teams but probably not us if we win out.

Re: Week 11 in opponents - dabigv13 - 11-14-2015

Make that 24-7 for Iowa State.....

Well there's the eternal ND debate?  Do we want them higher when we play them?  OR if there is enough chaos before then, might it not matter.  It's have to be a lot of chaos though.

Iowa State should have led 28-7.  They got totally boned on a TD reception replay overturn.  Big-12 refs trying to save Oklahoma State's undefeated record?

Re: Week 11 in opponents - dabigv13 - 11-14-2015

Oklahoma State is not a good team....wonder what all the pundits who were whining about how low ranked they were are going to respond to this.

Re: Week 11 in opponents - dabigv13 - 11-14-2015

Refs hosed Iowa State on the 2nd down spot which should have given them a first down but then Iowa State finished themselves off with some poor play calling and execution. Looks like Oklahoma State will escape, but have to think even if they go undefeated we might be able to stay ahead of them. We would crush this team.

Re: Week 11 in opponents - BostonCard - 11-14-2015

Michigan just went up 27-26, but they had second and goal from the one, and very un-Harbaughlike couldn't punch it in. With 6 min left, it could come back to haunt them.

Don't look now but vanderbilt is beating Kentucky.

I completely agree.  What a bonehead play calling at the end of the game.  ISU is facing a short 3rd and 1 and they run a fly/streak. ISU was running the ball successfully but when they needed to run the ball, they opted for a passing play.  They were so close for a big upset instead Oklahoma State survives.    oh well .....

I think, if we are talking about getting into the playoff, the formula is simple for Stanford: win out and we are in, lose a game and we are out.  The only thing that could mess with that formula is if both Utah and ND lose before meeting us, calling into question their quality.  But assuming they keep winning, and then we beat them, I don't see how we are left out.  On the other hand, if Stanford stumbles even once, we are toast, as far as the playoff goes.

Re: Week 11 in opponents - socalstanfan1 - 11-14-2015

Other games: Arkansas dominating LSU; Minnesota hanging with Iowa, which I find unsurprising. Iowa is a fraud with an incredibly weak schedule.

HHHHHUUUUUUGGGGEEEEE!!!!!

Re: Week 11 in opponents - dabigv13 - 11-14-2015

Man I wish he wouldve beelined for the endzone but I guess he knew he was gonna get caught. Almost broke it with the stiff arm!

Re: Week 11 in opponents - BostonCard - 11-14-2015

Ironically, it turns out, Oklahoma beat Baylor, leaving just Ok. St. Unbeaten in the Big-12.  It's a little more relevant to us than you might think, because if Utah is at one loss going into the Pac-12 championship, then they could be playing for a playoff spot, which means that, win or lose, we'd be headed to the Rose Bowl.  Of course, a lot of football left to play, and Utah and Arizona are tied, and we still have to play Cal, Notre Dame, and, if we beat the Bears, then the P12Championship.

Utah/UA into OT.  Utah hits a FG that bounces off the uprights and in.

Man, are all three ranked Pac-12 teams gonna go down today...?

Re: Week 11 in opponents - BostonCard - 11-14-2015

Utah has fourth and eight, after Arizona scored a TD in the second ot, assuming that a non-fumble ruling is not overturned.
