It was only this morning that Stanford managed to get all the duck shit washed off. C*l has no idea what kind of vulgar display of power is in store for them. We are going to take the field with a purpose, we are going to impose our AUTHORITY, and we are going to be angry.Â
ANGRY.

42-27, we keep the Axe.
If you look at the games with our common opponents (Washington, Wazzu, UCLA, US*C, Oregon), Kal averaged about 27 1/2 points, allowed 32 1/2, while we scored an average of about 41 and allowed 29 1/2.
I think we block a kick or two, pick off Goff at least once, sack him at least 3x. Hopefully, no fumbled snaps on our side.

Here are ESPN's picks. Starting to think that Kevin Hogan ran over Chantel's dog.
Code:
Picker       Pick   Score
Kyle Bonagura    S   42-31
Kevin Gemmell    S   42-31
Chantel Jennings   C   42-35
David Lombardi    S   44-34
Ted Miller      S   30-27
Also, I'm curious why they format this the way they do. Just pick the score "Away-Home", then there's no confusion about who you're picking and you can eliminate the pick column. Oh well.

Chantel lives in Portland, Oregon. Her picks the last two weeks are a nod to her adopted hometown. And, since she was right last week, it's hard to fault her too much.

BEAT KAL. Beat them silly. Run them off the field. Justify the their AD's return of seating allotment. Let the stadium be bereft of blue and gold at halftime.

Judging by the fact that Cal returned tickets (yet again), there probably won't be much blue and gold at kickoff either.

Stanford 48 Cal 24
Stanford gets a big momentum boosting win heading into the Notre Dame game. And the team comes to play for ND (rather than take it easy), rejuvenated by the reality that they do still have a playoff opportunity.Â
I even wanted to say Stanford 48 Cal 14 as a throwback pick for Andrew Luck's demolishing of Cal (which btw, was rated by ESPN's QBR rating as THE best game ever played by a QB since 2004:
http://espn.go.com/ncf/qbr/_/type/alltime-game).Â
Just like that Big Game where we lost a big one the week before, I think Hogan steps up for this game and delivers a big performance in his last Big Game. 3 TD passing, 1 running, 250 in the air.

Wilner's picking the 59ers ATS, but he's also using the original 12.5 point spread.
Quote: CAL (plus-12.5) at STANFORD: Recent series history points to a comfortable Stanford victory, even accounting for the Bears improvement this season. It wont be in doubt with one minute left, but maybe with 10 minutes left. Pick: Cal.
...
Straight-up winners: Oregon, Washington, Washington State, Arizona State, Stanford and Utah.

The line is down to Stanford (-11). I've never understood why Wilner uses the opening line. He should always use the line at the time he makes his pick since the original line would not likely be available to him should he seek to put his money where his mouth is, though I guess in the end it doesn't matter since it is all for fun.
