Update:

#1. Zhao lost the first set, on serve (tied 2-2) in the second. Zhao serving.
#2. Davidson lost the first set and down a break (1-4) in the second. Davidson serving.
#3. Doyle won the first set, down a break (trails 1-2) in the second. Oklahoma State serving.
#4. Hardebeck won the first set, up a break (3-2) in the second. Hardebeck serving.
#5. Lampl lost the first set, up a break (up 4-1) in the second. Oklahoma State serving.
#6. Lord lost the first set in a tiebreaker (8-6). Oof.  I was hanging my hat on getting that one and setting this up for singles wins at Courts 3-6.

The situation is not looking good.

We need to win four.  We won the first set in only two.  Down a break in both #1 and #2, which means if that holds we'll have to sweep the rest, including winning two sets in #2 and #3.

It would be an epic comeback if we won, but I'm not sure they have it in them.

Update:

#1. Zhao lost the first set 4-6, down a break (trails 3-4) in the second.  Oklahoma State serving.
#2. Davidson lost the first set 3-6, was trailing 1-4 in the second but is now back on serve (trails 4-5) in the second. Nice job to get back to on serve by Taylor.  Davidson will serve to stay in the set.
#3. Doyle won the first set 6-4, down a break (trails 2-4) in the second. Doyle serving.
#4. Hardebeck won the first set 6-4, on serve (tied 4-4) in the second. Oklahoma State serving.
#5. Lampl lost the first set, up a break (up 5-2) in the second. Oklahoma State serving.
#6. Lord lost the first set 6-7, but is up a break early in the second (leads 2-1).  Lord serving.

Hardebeck wins 6-4, 6-4, and Stanford is on the board!  Match tied 1-1. 

Lampl takes the second set 6-3 and we're on to our first 3-setter of the day.

Tides have turned a bit on the top 2 courts as well.  Zhao leads 5-4 with Oklahoma State to serve, while Davidson leads 6-5 and will serve for the second set.  Could we see three-setters at 5 different singles courts??

Taylor Davison, who looked lost and not herself, found a way back into this match, taking the second set 7-5 and leveling at one set apiece!

Man alive, I love this match.  I mean, I hate it because I feel like I can't breathe.  But you know what I mean.

#1. Zhao trails 4-6, 5-6 (down a break in the second, Oklahoma State to serve for the match).
#2. Davidson LEADS 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 (up a break in the third)
#3. Doyle tied 6-4, 4-6, 0-0.
#4. Hardebeck won 6-4, 6-4. 
#5. Lampl tied 4-6, 6-3, 1-1 (on serve in the third).
#6. Lord tied 6-7, 6-2, 0-0.

So, it's simple.  Just win three 3-setters to clinch a national title.  No big deal.

These women.  Wow.  Four courts in their third set, with Hardebeck offsetting the doubles point.  Zhao is fighting for survival down 5-6 in the second set (30-30)...we might need her point unless you think D&D and L&L can all make it happen win three between them.  Which they could...

And Zhao falls 6-4, 7-5.  Oklahoma State leads the match 2-1, with the other four matches in the third set.  Nutso stuff in Tulsa.

Davidson and Doyle matches going in opposite directions.  Davidson up a break at 2-1 in the third after looking dead in the first set and Doyle fading fast (down a double break in the third, 0-3) after looking very solid in the first set. 

Courts 5 and 6 are on serve in the third (Lampl tied 2-2 with Oklahoma State to serve, and Lord to serve down 0-1).  We'll need both.

Suffice it to say, we need to take three of the four matches still in play (Lampl is up a break, Doyl is down two, Davidson and Lord are on serve).  Would be an über impressive comeback, if we somehow pull it off.

We are now up a break in the 3rd set in 3 of the 4 remaining matches and down a break in the 4th.
