That letter is going to be written for him by some U$C tutor, and we'll know because it will feature multisyllabic words.

(U$C players...most of 'em can do anything with a football except sign [write their name] on it.)

Yeah, and it would be equally crippling for Ruffi[a]n to be barred from the Utah State game...

IIRC, Urban Meyer, while at Florida, suspended his star defender for a half against a D2 opponent. The kid was caught on camera trying to gouge the eyes out of a kid that had just been tackled. Not thing new here.

Does anybody know, or remember, how Curtis Wilkerson was injured against S,C, in 2012? I just remember something about the veiled statement by Shaw or one of the other coaches about the injury being "unfortunate".

Re: That'll show 'em!: Annals of discipline - SUBuddha - 09-06-2016

Kirk Herbstreit just called out U$C on the Dan Patrick show. Stated that the culture at U$C has led to this and that the university and coaches need to step up and truly punish players for poor behavior.

Rarely to I like Herbie, but he earned some bonus points with me on this.

I suggest that they start with the Nutcracker Suite

Haha, that's brilliant. And with an Alabama player being the recipient of the "Garvin stomp" as one person referred to it, the band really has an opportunity to get noticed.

Re: That'll show 'em!: Annals of discipline - TreesAndBirds - 09-06-2016

The  band could also consider revealing a "leaked copy" of the apology letter. Perhaps Mr Ruffin could mention in his letter his shame at not upholding the fine moral traditions of his university exemplified by OJ, Sarkasian, Bush and Haden.

There are also some commercial opportunities here. I wonder if any of the cup manufacturers have inquired about using the incident in a future ad campaign on the need for their product. It could give new meaning to Trojan Protection.

Because of the game's proximity to Fort Worth:

The same Mike McKeever whose son Barry played at Stanford.  I remember an interview with him before the USC game when he repeatedly said they were going to hit USC in the mouth.Â
