If we are going back that far the 1973 59-13 loss to UCLA is also a good candidate.  We actually went 7-4 that year, which was Christiansen's best effort.

1973, the Blair Pair running Pepper Rodger's Wishbone for what seemed like a thousand yards.

Boy TC, I thought you were going to pull an obscure reference to a game in the 40's...

I produced a national piece about Stanford's plan to stop McAllister and Johnson. Chris wouldn't really comment but our correspondent speculated. In short, he was wrong.

Re: Last time? - Papa John - 10-03-2016

In 1987, UCLA destroyed Stanford 49-0 at the old Stanford Stadium. I was a recent Stanford grad living in LA, and I went to the game with my then-girlfriend/now-wife, who was a UCLA undergrad at the time. I decided to sit with my Stanford friends for the game, but they deserted me in the second half. So I walked over to the visitors side of the stadium and sat with my girlfriend and and our in-common UCLA friends for the remainder of the game. They were cordial--for the most part. But, given that was the worst Stanford defeat in terms of point spread that I've ever seen in person, that was one difficult day.
