It's just crazy bat sh.it unlucky.  Not only did they hit, but they didn't glance in the right direction.

Bigtime case of the yips.

Re: Stanford - UDFG game thread - washingtonismoney - 10-15-2016

Meeks is out there, looks like.

WEll, the D holds.  I didn't really like how much time Kizer had, but I'll take a three and out.

Rarely do you see a jersey pull that doesn't draw a flag.  Terrible no call that killed our drive.

Re: Stanford - UDFG game thread - washingtonismoney - 10-15-2016

Taboada and Owusu out there.

The penalties/random timeouts have a beautiful whiff of 2014.

Re: Stanford - UDFG game thread - BostonCard - 10-15-2016

I didn't get a look to see who our starting cornerbacks were.  Anyone know if any of our injured players are back?  So far, McCaffrey and Tucker are definitely out. Taboada was in. Williams is in at FB.  Not sure on anyone else.

The Geico commercial with Ice-T is hilarious.

Very similar to the defense against KSU/SC -- not a great pass rush but the DBs were good enough.

Re: Stanford - UDFG game thread - BostonCard - 10-15-2016

Scarlett on the wildcat.

Looks like Meeks was out there. Didn't see if Holder was out there.

There's your play action WIM for a first down.

Albeit, weak play action.

Re: Stanford - UDFG game thread - BostonCard - 10-15-2016

I think Scarlett got away with a hold.

Re: Stanford - UDFG game thread - martyup - 10-15-2016

Burns!

Re: Stanford - UDFG game thread - BostonCard - 10-15-2016

Wow, Burns got rid of that quickly.  The protection was lousy and he had a man in his face quickly, but got it to Rector for a first down.

So far, Burns is playing well.

Re: Stanford - UDFG game thread - BostonCard - 10-15-2016

Damn, Scarlett fumbled.

BC

Re: Stanford - UDFG game thread - jacketree - 10-15-2016

That's a fumble.

Offense excellent between the 30s though.

Re: Stanford - UDFG game thread - martyup - 10-15-2016

We're killing ourselves.

Re: Stanford - UDFG game thread - washingtonismoney - 10-15-2016

When this non-fumble is overturned, this will be the most 2014 game on offense yet.
