I think playcalling is a little less "predictable" after that first series. I am encouraged. Of course, an 8-yd gain by McCaffrey on first down makes things easier (and I guess that part was predictable).

Well, you got a bootleg throw to Irwin on first down.

What was he waiting for

Re: Stanford - Arizona game thread - BostonCard - 10-29-2016

That sack was on Chryst.  Arizona blitzed, but it was mostly picked up.  Surprised we didn't have someone open.  And we went from second and three to another punt.  Grrr

Bailey might be team MVP thus far.

Re: Stanford - Arizona game thread - JJJ - 10-29-2016

Didn't McCaffrey look open on that 3rd down incompletion to Irwin?

Yes it was. He's been standing stationary in the pocket quite a bit, which was probably my largest gripe with Burns.

Chryst seems to miss consistently low.

Yes, Big Island's been out there a bit (or maybe a lot, couldn't tell).

Barton and Thomas #PartyIntheBackfield

Re: Stanford - Arizona game thread - ThePassionOfTheChryst - 10-29-2016

That was an interesting pattern

Re: Stanford - Arizona game thread - martyup - 10-29-2016

Hoff needs to find that ball.

Re: Stanford - Arizona game thread - BostonCard - 10-29-2016

On the long run, Sean Barton got caught shooting the wrong gap.  Other than that, a solid effort by the D through two series.

both punters are the best offense for their respective teams.

He'd better get involved this next series!
