Re: WBB: Stanford 77 Utah 58 - 81alum - 01-14-2017

Here are the stats among our bigs on rebounding.  I suppose I could calculate for offensive vs. defensive....but I didn't.

Nadia averages 3.6 rebounds and 16.6 minutes, or 1 every 4.6 minutes.
Alanna averages 5.1 rebounds and 15.5 minutes, or 1 every 3.0 minutes.
Kaylee averages 4.9 rebounds and 17.7 minutes, or 1 every 3.6 minutes.
Erica averages 8.9 rebounds and 31 minutes, or 1 every 3.5 minutes.

But to what extent is rebounding dependent upon an assigned role?  Are some players instructed to stay to rebound and others to leave quickly to start a break?  If so, rebounding could depend upon the role Tara assigns a player.  Or do all the bigs have the same role when it comes to rebounding?

A Tara quote after the game:

Quote:I thought we got great contributions of fthe bench. Kaylee Johnson, Marta Sniezek — really, they're starters," said VanDerveer, who got her 994th career coaching victory. "It's hard, because we've got seven starters. We're hoping to get one more perimeter person to get us up to speed."

I wonder what that last sentence means...hoping that one of our other guards comes on strong in the second half?  Anna?
