Texas looks worse on offense than Stanford did, which I suppose is a good sign.

another bad drop for SC. SC had a lot of dropped passes against WMU and now Texas, but their wideouts were amazing against Stanford. Woe is us.

U$C finally gets on the board with two minutes left in the first half. What is even more surprising about this is that Texas is playing a freshman QB due to an injury to their starter and can do absolutely nothing on offense. The Condoms may already have as many points as they will need to win the game.
Darnold now throws a pick-6 and it is 7-7. Weird game.
Then U$C scores with 10 seconds left in the first half on a long pass and it's 14-7. Definitely a weird game.

One of the advanced analytics sites, I can't remember which one but probably bcstoys, has or had a measure that's essentially "how well did this team play in this game?" I think it's essentially based on how well you're succeeding per play. I remember last year our game vs USC was in the top 10 for games played by any team. I think that, at the end of the year, last week's game is going to be in the top 10 for any game played by any team.
Part of my reason for thinking that is essentially the "successful play" metric. I believe I posted in the thread "USC hasn't had an unsuccessful play" sometime in the second quarter. I don't remember how long it took for them to have an unsuccessful play on offense, but it might've been in the 3rd quarter. In total they probably had less than 10. It was a truly spectacular game by them, and that's really frustrating to be on the other end of.
EDIT: A pick-six sure would've been nice for us last week...

SC's wideouts have dropped, I think, four passes that were really very easy catches. Of course I don't think they dropped a single pass against Stanford.

Starting to think USC just has a horseshoe lodged up their collective butt this year.

Let's not forget about the Ducks. They ran over Wyoming and their first round NFL QB draft pick 49-13. I don't think they are going to be anyone's patsy this year.

Well, the evidence is acumulating... USC had a great game against Stanford, but their games against Texas and Western Michigan has been lacluster. So, either SC played a particularly good game against us, or maybe we simply aren't that good. That would be supported by our lackluster play against SDSU.
Hope we are just in a temporary funk, but 88 yards, 4 first downs sacked twice and two turnovers... ouch. Good teams don't play THAT badly.

Texas fumbles with their possession in the second OT. A field goal by SC wins it.

Anyone notice that the USC band played All Right Now after they got a turnover in OT? I almost vomited. (Stanford's performance has me pretty nauseous to begin with.)

USC's band always plays All Right Now after an opponent's turnover. It always makes me sick.

I've always heard that they play it, but hadn't actually heard it before tonight. Nauseating.
