Yeah, Wilner posted the same thing. Eff that. I'll root for a Pac-12 team (well, not SC) if it makes the playoff but I won't shed a single tear for beating a top-ten conference opponent at home. You have to earn it. UW lost twice, so it hasn't.

I also take issue about the half full stadium comment (not to mention the stupid stereotype of Chardonnay imbibing). The stadium was pretty full last night. Id estimate about 80% full at its peak midway through the first quarter and probably two-thirds full at the point we tackled Browning on fourth down and went into victory formation.

Also of note: most of the people who were abandoning ship after halftime were in purple (in my section, at least).

Well, you could take it as an indictment that there were so many folks in purple. Id estimate about 20% or so.
Still it was a factually incorrect stereotype that the stadium was half-filled or that everyone was tipsy on Chardonnay.

I actually didn't think it was that bad. Like, the visitor's section got plenty loud, but my area had about as many UW fans as we had WSU fans last year. It certainly wasn't like USC or ND.

She has no clue. We don't drink chardonnay at night games, we drink cabernet sauvignon. ;)
Cheers,

80% full?? I was there, and that is not at all what I saw. Even the student section toward the end zone was mostly empty. We must have been at different games. :) My row, which is normally pretty full, was half empty (232 row J). Some of the people that were there were Washington people who bought tickets from the usual occupants. The "Washington" end zone was maybe 60% full.
