Everyone in college football is garbage away from home this year, is the only thing I can figure. It's kind of amazing how many "wtf?" results there have been where the only difference is home/away split. Maybe this is normal and I'd just never noticed it, but this year seems odd.

After the exhilaration of last night, storming the field like a kid with my 9yo son, there is only one other game of interest for me this weekend.Â
It starts in about 5 minutes near the buoyant waters of the Great Salt Lake and the snow-capped peaks of the Wasatch Range. (Or so I am told by Wikipedia.)

Sorry to jinx this. U$C draws first blood 7-0 w/ 12mins to go in 2Q... I'll just shut up now.
I mean, we'll have to wait for the full game, but SC was favored by two touchdowns. So their struggles would, in isolation, be eyebrow-raising. Then again, with the decided exception of their game against Stanford (and Arizona), they've looked indifferent the entire year. So it's not surprising they're meh again. As has been the pattern since the latter part of the Carroll years, they play really well when they give a sh*t and they only give a sh*t for big games.

21-0 halftime, so much less eyebrow raising. U$C does have a history of playing just as well as they have to in order to win, going back to the O.J. Simpson era.

Utah has turned the ball over three times, allowing WSU to open up a 10-0 lead. WSU driving. Ugh.

Not a game of interest here, but Navy beat SMU 43-40 as time ran out with a FG snapped from the 1 yard line, with no time outs after the Navy QB intentionally downed himself instead of scoring the go-ahead TD with about 30 seconds left. Left on the foot of some kid making his first collegiate attempt.
Made me think of Teejers take-a-knee theory regarding the Toby ND win. Coach said after the game it was a stupid move for what thats worth. It was stupid.
