Peterson deserves a lot of credit for being aggressive throughout. A lesser coach would not have gone for it on fourth and 1 from midfield with 6minutes left.

It was certainly compelling and filled with drama, but I like some defense played in my greatest games ever.Â
Literally, the play before the Graham strip fumble, I thought to myself "this is such a terrible game... the Eagles haven't stopped the Patriots once! You HAVE to get a stop SOMETIME!"
So I erupted when I saw the forced fumble and recovery.Â
Nice to see Ertz make the game winning TD in Super Bowl. Is Elway the only other former Stanford player to hold that distinction?

Agreed with OF. Good game, but it was piss poor defensively (aside from the strip sack).
I feel sorry for the poles in Philadelphia.

Michaels is not well and he has lost some vitality. With Costas exiting the stage NBC has lost its superstars. Tirico IMO has never been more than a syrupy presence. The most talented voice is Feherty's and he's a one sport guy.

Game winning touchdown. I guess it makes up for those two awful first half penalties.

Re: Poor Defense
All the stats are on your side but sometimes great O beats merely good D. On many of those long receptions the DBs were in the receivers back pocket and it took an exceptional back shoulder toss to beat them.Â
How many times did you see a DB walk away from a play shaking his head because there was no way to defend a completed pass better?
The D line play was unexceptional but I'm giving the DBs a mulligan. Foles and Brady were both highly accurate today.

I didn't count, but I also saw a lot of plays where I though "why isn't any DB within 20 feet of Rob Gronkowski"? Far be it from me to pick apart defensive strategy at any level of football, but it seemed bazaar how wide open he was. I mean, I hear he's the best at his position (perhaps ever), but it seemed strange. And Hogan and Amendola (sp?) would consistently get open deep. From what I could tell, Foles was throwing into much tighter coverage than Brady. But what do I know?

I'm in LA for a conference and I tuned into the local news coverage. It was funny to see Ertz totally "phone it in" during his interview with the local station. I imagine they're in undated and it's hard to keep up the same excitement as the interivew you give to the national NBC broadcast, but this is the SB! I would think he could muster a little more energy.
But great for him to be able to match his wife's achievement. A husband and wife team winning championships at the highest level of their sports.

Funny how Tom Brady's alligator arm attempt of a catch was almost the exact same play where Andrew Luck caught a one-handed pass from Drew Terrell against UCLA. Luck looked just a bit more athletic :D And now Josh McDaniels will presumably be Luck's coach next year -- think he'll keep it in the playbook?
