It was a good ride, with many rough patches but overall, more enjoyable and certainly more encouraging for the first time in many years, for me at least. Yes, a big thanks to all in the program.

Coming from an outsider (a Rice Owl lucky to be married to a Stanford alum), but that broadcasting was utterly disgraceful.
I lost count of how many times they called Stanford the Cardinals. Seriously? And I don't know who the one announcer was, but he could have been doing the Ok St play-by-play.
I'm pretty disgusted.

Despite the ending, I'm pleased with the season. I saw substantial improvement in many players over the course of the season, and the future looks bright. A theoretical starting lineup of Travis (fingers crossed he's coming back), Davis, Okpala, Da Silva, and maybe Ryan (or Sharma?) will be formidable. Better things to come.

My point wasn't that it wasn't the right call, but that it wasn't so horrible. I've seen worse. Subjective, of course, but one could argue it was a "basketball move." Moot point, naturally.

Apparently the Utes decided to dine in our humble suburban town tonight just to remind me that they should have been in Palo Alto. Walking home from the train station, I went past a large idling bus with "Utah Men's Basketball" sign in the window. Although the local tap room seemed to be unusually busy for a Tuesday night, I'm sure they must have been at the Italian place across the street.
