2 players that wouldn't ordinarily get much mention:

shannon coffee looked much improved. fast up the court, hit a 3, rebounded without fouling. really nice assist on a backdoor cut to the basket. she's finally come into her own.

estella moschau hit several nice shots.

I entirely agree.  Having players who can and will take it to the rim from the perimeter will be necessary against many defenses, and it helps the general rhythm of the Princeton to have constant movement.  They will be a great fit for this offense.

Shannon and Estella looked good.  Shannon had an unfortunate turnover but then came right back with a layup and an assist, not letting the mistake get to her.

Alexa Romano is the third point guard and had a decent time in the 4th quarter, going 3/5 with a couple of assists.  I enjoy watching her long, arcing rainbows.

RE: WBB: Stanford 87 Vanguard 36 - 81alum - 11-05-2018

Vanguard went on to play UConn in another exhibition last night.  That is a plucky team, I have to give it credit.  UConn defeated them 96-30.  Geno gave 3 starters more than 25 minutes, and two more were over 20.

Tara gave 0 players more than 25 minutes, and only Lexie and Nadia were above 20.

I'm rather heartened that we were able to do nearly as well as UConn while playing many more players.  This has always been Geno's philosophy, though.

Thank you, and it was nice meeting you at the game!  I've long admired your writing, which is invariably more lively than my own.   We are fortunate that you are continuing your blog at the Fast Break Club.  I'm an avid reader.
