And props to the pass rush that set up the punt. WIlton Speight had no time to breathe.

Maybe LET Speight throw the ball -- just hurry him. He is not very accurate. 2 of 7 for 28 yards.
They gain more yards on a Ruffing the Passer call.

That was a boneheaded penalty by DWP, fortunately it wasn't terribly costly.
Also, these running plays are making me wonder why we came out passing like 8 straight plays.

Nice strength from Wilson
Nice seam to Parkinson! Let's run now please . . .
Thank you Dr. Love!

Yeah there was a lot to like on that one play, someone that strong and fast will be hard to defend.
Also, woo TD! This is starting to look more like what we expected.

THat was a great tackle by Shaeffer. Unfortunately followed by a few porous plays including one where I thought Adebo got tackled (OK, I am biased)

Yeah. looks like we are going to have to keep scoring. Hopefully we are up to the task.

Another nice Wilson catch. With St. Brown, Simi, & Wilson all playing I wonder if Shaw is thinking of maintaining the more pass-oriented attack next year? At least it gives options . . . hopefully the run game will improve and we'll be fully loaded.

Great field position here. Let's get on the board before halftime.
We do. Excellent!

Two short passes, two incompletions, and then the bomb to Irwin. Nice blitz pick-up.

The announcers briefly mentioned this, but why the heck did we have two guys right next to each other like that? I mean, it worked, so awesome, but it seems like weird play design, I almost wonder if someone ran the wrong route.

Yeah, looked like a route mix-up.

Pretty sure someone ran wrong route. Now we need our D again . . .

So much for Speight being inaccurate. Our db’s look a step slow.

Why would UCLA not take a time out as the play clock almost expired. They left us 44 seconds and they could have run the last play with only a couple seconds left.

Wow, I thought for sure he was in. Might be tough to see.

Chip's clock management appears like it will cost UCLA at least 3, hopefully more.
It is 3, as Stanford will lead by a TD at half.

With 6 seconds, I thought we had time for 1 more jump ball before the FG.

it looks like it will be a wild second half, as neither team's defense looks capable of stopping the other's offense.
Based on our last drive, it looks like UCLA's defensive strategy is to mug our receivers and hope it doesn't get called.

Yeah, that was incredibly boneheaded by Kelly (with an assist to UCLA’s special teams coverage). He could have had fourth and goal from the one foot line with 1 second on the clock, giving us no chance to score, yet we stole three points at the end. I think Shaw should have tried one more play into the end zone with six seconds left before attempting the FG.
