No way I'm giving him 2 more years and I don't care if KZ leaves early. Make the tournament next year or hit the road jack.

All the mock drafts I've seen have him mid-late 1st. If that's the case, he gone.

Should this be the case, it would certainly show something that Haase found and developed the first Stanford "early" (non-senior) draftee since the Lopi. Dawkins never did it.

How about either coach:  IOWA (Fran McCaffery) or IOWA STATE (Steve Prohm) ?
Both of those teams always seem to be ready.  We can't get a top talent to PA?

For the record, we thought Haase was a top talent. Or at least I was certainly pumped about the hire.

Iowa State is a better job than Stanford from a purely basketball perspective. That would be a coup and a half. Plus Prohm's alma mater is Alabama, and you'd better believe they'll give him whatever he wants if their current coach's seat gets hot.

McCaffery essentially resurrected the Iowa program from the dead. It's his baby, they're doing quite well, and he has 2 sons playing on the team. Not happening.

A good, although not flashy, fit would be Russell Turner at UC Irvine. Former Stanford assistant, and they've been doing pretty well. But as far as "top talent," no idea.

I like the USF guy. Not much talent but they play hard.

In spite of yesterday's disheartening performance vs UO, the Stanford men earned a split on the road and, at 5-6, are tied for seventh in the Pac-1+11. We play U$C, who is one game ahead of us, and UCLA, with whom we are tied.

I still think 10-8 is within reach, but that won't get us a bye on Wednesday come conference tourney time.
