to your question above, not that long ago (and you know when I'm talking about) during some games we had to revert to first down cookies since the then young children in the group wanted some real chance to have cookies during the games......I really hope we never feel the need to have first down cookies again......
and we do have "rules" for TD cookies, currently:
1. we must score a TD
2. you must be a Stanford fan to get a cookie (ask the wife of an alum in our group who wore purple at the NU game about her lack of access to Stanford TD cookies)
3. you must be present when the TD is scored, and present means you can be seen by the holder of TD cookies (not usually me) at that time of the TD, not off in the concourse, not in the bathroom, not at the tailgater.....

I remember most all except when uncle Sammy called upon me 68-69 but I did see us play at UOP 68
When I saw Dave Lewis throw a long pass on a line in one of his first practices I thought we are going to be good.
