Well, we've lost five games by more than 15 points, total blowouts. The most since Harbargh's first season coaching with Wlat's players, and this season's not over. And Shaw's playing with his guys! So maybe yes, figuratively Sepukku might be warranted.

On the other hand, Leech’s “throw your players under the bus” approach seemed to work, so maybe Shaw should have called out his players for being slow fat and stupid, and for having fat girlfriends to boot.

When I went to school one of the things that supposedly attracted guys to Wazzu was all the pretty girls there. Maybe things have changed.
Shaw doesn't say things like that, but he still gets accused of throwing his players under the bus by not taking enough personal responsibility for losses.
Every time Leach does say things like that we get posts on the Cardboard saying he is going to lose his team. Somehow that never seems to happen.

Even-keeled after our worst beat down of the year and fifth loss by 15 or more points this season?!?
Not a fan of Leach, but his tirade last week certainly seemed to get his kids attention. Perhaps an occasional teeny tiny bit of emotion might actually help Shaw. . . .
What are the odds that Coach Shaw will do one of these...?
In situations where a coach has lost it and is turning blue in the face, as a player it's hard not to laugh. There is so much nervous tension. Laughter is a common reaction in this situation. But, you know if you laugh he will completely melt down and single you out. So you try not to make eye contact and reach down and pinch yourself real hard. If you can't hold it back you have to put your hands in your face and act like your crying. I've been in similar situations as a player, but I was never the one that laughed.

It's funny, I didn't see any of the Texas guys looking like they were on the verge of laughter. And they won their next ten in a row. Go figure.

That's because the Texas team was deep and talented.

A line that I can imagine The Pirate uttering but not Coach Shaw:
"I'm going to find some fake girlfriends for my linebackers so that the SOB's can play like Manti Teo."

I expect him to put SOME responsibility on himself and his coaching staff. Instead we got propaganda a few weeks ago about having sufficient depth and doing a great job of recruiting and nobody calling him on it, and we get postgame pressers that are almost 100% about failed player execution.
And in the offseason I expect him to make significant changes in his offensive, S&C, and recruiting staff. If not, we will see another year much like this one.

He could make coaching changes but they just don’t have enough talent right now. What could help is an invigorated recruiting staff and the willingness to correct his own staleness.
