I'm happy Sanborn drilled the kick, but that delay of game/false start sequence was maddening. It made picking up the first down difficult and almost took us out of field goal range. The defense needs to make a stop here because we can't be getting 3 and giving up 7.

A brobdingnagian block. Our defense has some major holes, but they gave up only 10 in the first half. The offense is going to have to become more efficient and start finding the end zone. Davis has some nice numbers, but we don't have a lot of points to show for it.

A lot of that can be blamed on our lack of a running game, so Mills has no margin for error.

I'm just glad they finally decided to call holding on Cal, there have been a bunch that they just let go. Hopefully we can stop them out of half.

Every time I’m tempted to rag on our band, Cal goes on to do a halftime show titled “A tribute to science”, in which they go on to play a whole bunch of notes in tune that nonetheless sound like nothing.

So much of this year comes down to the lack of a deep and healthy line.

Disagree, Cal’s defense has gotten more effective as they’ve realized we aren’t going to run.

I think we have probably figured it out by now. We don't have much of a defense, nor do we have much of a running game. Mills has got a nice arm, but that just isn't enough.
