The D just can't hold. Notre Dame will waltz into the end-zone at will if nothing dramatic happens (fumbles, interceptions, Book getting injured....)

Won't argue with the goal line play calling. It's what's we do, even if, as the commentators mentioned, the D lineman are significantly larger than our guys.

Four downs to get two yards, and we jam it up the middle three straight times, then settle for a FG. Why do we have to make it so tough when we get close? Four points left on the field.

If they are trying to get helmet to helmet contact and head injuries out of the sport, the running back should not be allowed to spear defenders with the crown of their helmet. At least twice the Notre Dame running backs have speared defenders in the head and neck area. And it is really irritating to hear the announcers cheer this on.

Why can't a runner be called for targeting. Twice, Head has been hit in the head when an offensive player lowered his head and led with the crown of the helmet.

Good point. Sure looked like it. Oddly, offensive players are almost never called for targeting.
