Ok maybe you’re right MT. A blow to the face is now just fine

Great start. Lexie with 3 great drives thus far
19-4

Double double for Splashten already:)
She’s going to be good for us for a long time. I will leave it to the more creative members of the CardBoard to give her a good moniker.

My only complaint about a nickname "splAshten" is that it focuses only on the 3s (she also had a good midrange basket in this game).  She's got soft hands for pulling down the rebounds.  She's obviously good under the basket on offense. Good positioning for rebounds, but still more to learn from Fingall.  Defense is still a work in progress.

The announcer said Prechtel has made a 3 in 15 games in a row.  That's really impressive.

Wow, I didn't realize that Prechtel only played 20 minutes! That makes 19pts & 14rebounds all the more impressive.

I thought we did really well with Fingall & Prechtel in at the same time, at least against WSU.

A real tough game to say who was the most impressive in the game.
Williams?  Prechtel?  Lexie?  or the defense of Lacie?

Another sub-50 point game for the opponents.

Ugh. Cal being Cal.

Not sure what you were referring.

I turned it on just in time to see UW & Cal miss last 10-second shots, to go into overtime.

I finished my write-up at the top.  Prechel's continued improvement and development is impressive, and she is our best hope to make our offense into a three headed beast.  We saw the difference this weekend--Washington controlled her somehow and we struggled a little.  WSU did not and we dominated.  8 more regular season games to keep improving and she might be knocking on the door of the Jayne Appel pathway.

Cal was up 14 with less than 3 minutes to go.

Looking good in OT, though.

I agree that splAshten doesn’t do justice to the other facets of her game. That’s why I was hoping for better minds than mine to come up with something. Maybe we’ll just call her treys “splAshtens” :)

I kinda like her old nickname, Little Keith.  Seeing as I was in the building when Van Horn tortured us in Brevin's last game in the NCAA tournament in San Jose (and I still say Brevin was fouled on the three-pointer at the end of regulation.)

Good one and Brevin was certainly fouled.

"The announcer said Prechtel has made a 3 in 15 games in a row.  That's really impressive."

AnnecSchotts was wrong, and misinformed about other things, as was Tracy Warren. Think they meant she has a 3 in 15 of the games. No 3ptr  against Oregon and I'm pretty sure they just did the Washington game and Ashten did not have a 3
